KSOU offers hostel accommodation for men with a nominal fee of INR 50 per head on day. It has 7 hostels comprising 3 rooms. Nine students are allowed to stay in 1 hostel. KSOU also has a guesthouse available for academicians. It has 75 rooms, well-equipped with modern amenities and a good ambience. The guesthouse is just a 5-minute walk away from the academic block.

Karnataka State Open University Mysore provides various facilities to the students. Yes, there is membership available for the KSOU library. Students have to pay a refundable amount of Rs.250 for graduates and postgraduates and INR 500 for M.Phil. and Ph.D. students.
Graduates and postgraduates will get 2 borrower cards, while M.Phil. and Ph.D. students are issued 5 borrower cards. Users can only borrow one book per card.
The KSOU library is open from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM on all working days, as well as on government holidays too. However, during contact programs and university examinations, the timings are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
BBA at KSOU is a three-year undergraduate programme structured under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). It is divided into six semesters, blending theoretical knowledge with practical exposure to help students build strong foundations in management, finance, and business practices.
The eligibility criteria for BTech admissions at Karnataka State Open University is that candidate should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate. Students can also get admissions based on entrance exam. The entrance exams accepted include TNEA.
To be eligible for the KSOU MBA programme, a candidate needs to possess a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised institute/ university with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for SC/ ST candidates).
