Hello there, If you're comparing B.Tech in Biotechnology between LPU and Amity, I'd say LPU definitely has a strong edge in quite a few ways. I've seen how LPU focuses not just on the core academics of biotech but also on making students industry-ready through practical exposure, research projects, and collaborations. The labs here are genuinely well-equipped, and there's a lot of scope to work on live research under faculty who are actively publishing in journals. That kind of hands-on experience is a big deal when it comes to a field like biotechnology. Now, placements-wise, LPU has tie-ups with a lot of pharmaceutical and biotech firms, and students do get placed in reputed companies or land internships that often convert into full-time jobs. What's also nice about LPU is that it gives a lot of importance to skill development alongside the curriculum—so whether it's communication skills, problem-solving, or technical training, they've got you covered.Compared to Amity, which is also good in biotech, LPU stands out with its larger campus, diverse student community, affordable fee structure (especially with scholarships), and an active placement cell that works hard to get students noticed by recruiters.I hope this helps.

The Lovely Professional University (LPU) prefers awarding engineering degrees in the form of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs instead of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degrees. Numerous B.Tech specializations are available at this university such as Computer Science, Mechanical, Automobile, Civil, Biotechnology, Electrical Engineering, Chemical, Aerospace, and so on. These B.Tech programs last for a total of four years during which they focus on industry-aligned curricula and practical learning, as well as strong placement support. There is no explicit mention of BE courses being offered at LPU since the university focuses primarily on B.Tech undergraduation in engineering.

For CSE with Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, both Chandigarh University and Lovely Professional University offer good programs, but there are some practical differences. LPU tends to have a broader ecosystem with more specializations, larger labs, and frequent exposure to coding competitions, hackathons, and industry-oriented projects. This can be helpful in AI/ML, where hands-on work and continuous practice matter a lot.In terms of placements and overall exposure, LPU often has an edge due to its larger recruiter base and diverse student community, which creates more competition and learning opportunities. Companies like Amazon, Infosys, and Cognizant recruit from both, but LPU's scale and specialization options in emerging tech fields can give slightly better exposure for AI/ML. So overall, for CSE with AI & ML, many students tend to prefer LPU for the wider opportunities and learning environment.

For B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), both Lovely Professional University (LPU) and Chandigarh University are good private universities, and both offer modern infrastructure, updated curriculum, and placement opportunities. However, LPU is generally considered a slightly better option in terms of overall exposure, learning environment, and scale of opportunities. LPU provides a very large campus with diverse students from across India and abroad, which helps in better peer learning and competition. The university focuses strongly on industry-oriented training, including coding bootcamps, hackathons, live projects, internships, and skill development programs. It offers multiple CSE specializations such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, and Full Stack Development, helping students align with current industry demand. In terms of placements, LPU has a strong recruitment network with companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, Cognizant, and Wipro participating in campus drives. The university also provides structured placement training in aptitude, programming, and communication skills, which improve employability. Chandigarh University is also a strong competitor and has good placement records, especially in engineering. It has a slightly more compact campus and structured academic system. It also attracts top recruiters and offers competitive packages for skilled students. Overall, both universities are good choices for CSE, but LPU stands out for its wider exposure, larger opportunities, and diverse learning environment. However, the final outcome in either university depends mainly on the student's skills, coding practice, projects, and internships.

In 2025, Lovely Professional University's (LPU) B.Tech CSE (Computer Science & Engineering) programme offered the largest annual package, which was probably an off-campus package worth up to Rs 3 crore. The highest CSE package available on campus cost about Rs 64 Lacs annually. Approximately Rs 10.23 LPA was the average package for the top 25% of students at the university, including CSE. The average on-campus placement package for CSE in particular is projected to be approximately Rs 7-8 LPA, maintaining the upward trend from Rs 7.92 LPA in 2024. With thousands of students vying for placements, CSE continues to be one of LPU's higher-performing departments. Anecdotal evidence indicates that around 20% of CSE candidates receive a "good" payout, with 1,800 students receiving offers between Rs 10 and Rs 20 LPA.

The difference is simple: Bachelor of Design (B.Des) is a broader creative program that covers multiple design disciplines like fashion, product, graphic, and interior design, focusing on innovation and aesthetics, while B.Sc. Interior and Furniture Design is more specialized, concentrating on space planning, furniture creation, and practical applications in interiors. As for admission, yes, LPU is best for these programs, but for the exact eligibility details (like whether you can get admission without appearing in LPUNEST), you should check directly on the official LPU website, where the most accurate and updated information is available.

Lovely Professional University (LPU) does not impose any compulsory dress code on most of the courses like B.Sc, B.Tech, Arts, Sciences, and Law. Students as a rule may dress in a casual way which is tidy and fitting to an academic setting. Nonetheless, there are some disciplines which require a student to wear a given uniform during semi-practices, internship and at some professional functions such as Hotel Management, Tourism, MBA, BBA, Nursing, and Health Sciences. Also, formal dress code is required of all students during placement drives, Professional Enhancement Programme (PEP) lectures, guest lectures and convocations. This consists of collared t-shirts, trousers or skirts, dress shoes, and they may also have blazers. It is also mandatory to wear the ID card provided by the university as a visible neck-tag around the campus. All of the courses that take place in a laboratory setting need white lab coats as part of hygiene and safety. It is a good balanced approach, which allows one to keep professionalism in the main occasions but to be lenient thanks to the student life (that is what LPU is all about).
