The amount of seats that become available each year determines how many students can pursue a B.Tech at Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCUB). Depending on the number of applicants and students accepted into the program, there may be a variation in the number of seats available.

For the 2023–2024 academic year, MGCUB is offering 33 seats in total to B.Tech students. The following categories comprise the seats:

1. General: ten places
2. OBC: ten places
3. SC: 8 places.
4. ST: 5 places

Students must have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 55% of the possible points in all subjects taken at the 10+2 level, with the exception of those for which only passing grades are necessary and which do not count toward the final (degree) mark sheet, in order to be eligible for admission to the MGCUB B.Tech program.

The Central University Common Entrance Test is required for admission to MGCUB's B.Tech program (CUCET). The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the CUCET, a national entrance exam. In order to apply for admission to MGCUB's B.Tech degree, students must take the CUCET and receive a minimum score on the entrance exam.

The first year's total cost of a B.Tech programme at Mahatma Gandhi Central University - MGCUB is INR30,218. This covers all fees associated with tuition, lab work, exams, and other additional charges. 1,20,872 is the total cost for the whole four-year program.

B.Tech students must pay INR2500 in tuition each semester. The cost of the lab is INR3000 for each semester. Each semester, there is a INR500 examination fee. There are additional expenses for the library, cultural programs, sports, games, and academic work.

Additionally, there is a INR1000 security deposit that is returned at the conclusion of the course.

Additionally, the university provides a number of scholarships to students from social groups who are less wealthy.

Mahatma Gandhi Central University - MGCUB is a central university established by an Act of Parliament in 2014. It offers MBA programmes in various specializations such as Marketing Management, Finance Management, Human Resources Management, Agri Business Management, International Business, Digital Marketing, and Interior Designing. The admission to these programmes is based on the performance of the candidates in CUET PG or other entrance exams such as MAT/CAT/XAT/GMAT.

MGCUB does accept CUET score for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. However, the eligibility criteria and selection process may vary depending on the programme and category of the candidate.

Mahatma Gandhi Central University grants admission to UG courses based on CUET UG exam. Candidates with a valid CUET-UG score are eligible to register for the counselling round. To be eligible for CUET-UG counselling round, candidates need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria set by the University. The final selection is based on the merit list released by the university.
