Candidates who are willing for admission to a four-year BTech course at MJPRU must fulfil the basic education requirements as per the university's norms. Candidates who passed a Class 12 with Physics, Chemitry & Mathematics as their subjects are eligible to apply for MJPRU BTech admissions for the first year. MJRPU offers around 30 courses at the UG, PG, and PhD levels. Some of the courses include BTech, MA, MSc, LLB, LLM, B.Ed, M.Ed, and various others. MJRPU admissions based on merit and entrance exam for some courses. The university further conducts an entrance exam for admission to the MSc, LLB, B.Ed, B/El.Ed, BPEd, M.Ed, and LLM courses.

The University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University is accredited with a "B" Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
