B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2025
3.0
I am enjoying this college life.
Placements: There is no on-campus placement, we have to pursue off-campus placements. About 4-5 years ago, some companies used to visit for campus placement, but currently, not a single company visits. My plan after B.Tech is to pursue off-campus placements by applying to various companies, attending interviews, and taking exams conducted by different companies themselves.
Infrastructure: All classes are always neat and clean, and the college environment is excellent due to the extensive plantation on campus, which provides fresh air. A wide variety of students from different states come here to study, which helps us learn about different cultures from various parts of the country.
Faculty: Qualifications of different teachers vary. Some teachers hold a Ph.D. in their respective subjects, while some are postgraduates, and others are pursuing their Ph.D. The exam pattern is semester-wise. After six months, we prepare for the semester exams, with two mid-semester exams before the final exams. The difficulty level of the exams is average, not too difficult and not too easy. The faculty experience is not good for me because the behaviour of some teachers is rude.

Old heritage buildings of MJPRU.
Placements: Around 80–85% of students got placed off campus. The highest package offered to my senior friend was 50 LPA, while the lowest package offered was 3 LPA and the average package varied from 4-5 LPA. Various companies that recruit students are: BSNL, IFCO, HCL, etc. Various private companies also give internships and get engaged with the placement criteria of the university. Around 85% students get internship opportunities on campus.
Infrastructure: The institute has 728 titles of e-books (15 of animal science, 28 of chemistry, 113 of engineering & technology, 32 of education, 9 of history, 21 of hotel management, 4 of journalism & mass communication, 35 of law, 34 of mathematics, 5 of philosophy, 31 of physics, 31 of psychology, 28 of social work and 343 of management) available online through the re-MJP Rohilkhand University. The facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels are equipped with modern facility and a cool environment for studying. The hostels are within walking distance from the university. institute provides accommodation facilities for the outstation students too. The quality of mess food is very good and hygienic.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is good and well qualified; all of them are mostly from reputable backgrounds. Exams are conducted on weekly and monthly basis Internal and external exams are conducted, which are useful for end-term exams. The course curriculum is relevant and helps in learning new things. It makes the students industry-ready because the faculty has so much of corporate and industrial knowledge that it helps students get ready. 35% is the passing mark.
Other: The M.J. P. R. University is good and the college comes under it. The staff, infrastructure, and studies are good. But somehow I request from the government and censor board to take initiative to improve certain things. There is nothing to improve about this course. My college held many activities like as technical event, cultural events, management events, etc. In one year, at least two activities are completed. And there are many international conferences held at my college. I am also participating in all conferences held under umbrella of IEEE and teqip.

PROS & CONS of MJPRU (the real perspective of a student).
Placements: My university provides placement, but the number is low; only about 50% of students get placed. Others either study for GATE or other competitions. The highest package offered here was about 25 LPA, and the average is about 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Wipro, TATA, TCS, Infosys, etc. The con here is that the college doesn't provide internship opportunities; you have to find them yourself.
Infrastructure: The classroom infrastructure is very good, and the lab conditions are also good. Regular labs are performed too. The central library is huge; you will find every type of book here, for issuing either academic or non-academic. Hostel facilities are available here, but I would not recommend taking the hostel because they don't provide any facilities, and the mess food is the worst. Sports facilities are excellent; the college has its own stadium, badminton and tennis courts, and a boxing court.
Faculty: The faculty here are well-educated, with Ph.Ds from well-reputed colleges. They are very helpful in nature, whether it's curricular or non-curricular help. Their teaching quality is also very good. The course curriculum is good, but the only con is that it doesn't provide practical knowledge; they only focus on the theoretical part. After getting into the job, you will start experiencing new things. Each semester of 6 months has three exams: two mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam, including external practicals for labs.
Other: I chose this course due to my keen interest in the electronics field. I wish they could improve the syllabus from theory to practical. The only con here is that there is no source of entertainment on campus. They don't provide any festivals or anything. The campus is evergreen and large in size. The UP government scholarship is provided here, which can be up to 65,000 per year for B.Tech students of GEN/OBC. The sports facilities are also excellent.

Our college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Around 100% of students get placed off-campus. The placement cell does not have proper contact with high-level companies. Top recruiting companies are Cognixia, Azeem Prem Ji foundation, and Pie Infocom.
Infrastructure: Two libraries are available in our college, one is the central library except for engineering students. The infrastructure of our college is very good with Wi-Fi, a library, classrooms, water, a good canteen, and medical facilities.
Faculty: All the permanent faculty members in our college have a good experience. They are from renowned institutes. Some teachers are well qualified but the rest are not much qualified as per required.
Other: Our college always organises many events like fresher party, food making, painting, basketball, etc.

Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University is an average college.
Placements: Almost 20% of students are placed in campus interviews till now. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA - 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, IBM, Accenture, and many more. Almost 20% of students get internships in small companies. Most of the students are placed in IT companies. Our placement cell is very good. They always try for better placements and give us the best companies.
Infrastructure: We have a Wi-Fi facility with good internet speed. We have 6 labs and each lab has Wi-Fi. They provide printers and scanners. There is a server room available that handles all machines present in 6 labs. Our college also has a library. The college has a projector facility for presentations, workshops, and seminars.
Faculty: Our faculty members are so caring and knowledgeable. They always try to provide us with the best knowledge and they are supportive. The teaching quality is good. Our curriculum is quite better because we have the basic knowledge of industries which is covered in our curriculum. Semester exams are also good. Our passing percentage is 50%.
Other: I am satisfied with our college. I chose electronics and communication courses because, nowadays, this is booming. Our college has a hostel and we also have a great canteen. Our college fests are also great. If you belong to SC/ST caste, you get fee benefits. Our college also has good student section services. Nature is beautiful outside our college.

This is a very good university with very good faculty members in my viewpoint.
Placements: In our course approximately 10% of students get placed, the reason is many of them decided to do higher studies like M.Tech and some of them have taken off-campus placement. The highest package was 3.5 LPA and the lowest package was 1.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Cognixia, Azeem prem Ji foundation, and pie Infocom. Only these companies had come at that time and after that, there was a complete lockdown. As I say most of them are pursuing higher studies so only 10% of them get an internship in Cognizant, TCS, and my friend got selected for the Indian navy and another in the Indian army. The top roles were Testing engineer, Telecom engineer, and Graduate Engineer Trainee.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good in MJPRU, students get sufficient time for self-study as they can prepare for the competitive exam during their course. Neat classrooms with a digital board, air-conditioner in classrooms with well-maintained chairs and tables, curtains are also there in the classroom, 4 Tubelights, and 4 fans i.e., in one word good facilities are provided in MJPRU. There is a stadium also forever types of sports like cricket, basketball, badminton, table tennis, boxing ring, running track, etc. They renovated the stadium so it is in very good condition as I go there for running so I came to know that they have made a rubber track for athletes to run on the track. So these facilities are provided in MJPRU such that a student with studies can participate in others events also and play sports also. There are two canteens in MJPRU, an open gym, a park, DSW (dean student welfare), a proper parking area, etc. In the hostel, the rooms are not very clean and tidy as it depends on the students to take care of the rooms and maintain it but other facilities like the provide electricity 24 hours and free secured Wi-Fi, Food quality was not very good neither very bad, it was average as it can't be compared with the mom's food, a playground was also there for students so that they refresh their minds and do other activities also. The canteen is also average as I prefer packed food so it was like the average for me as I don't like the food they make with cheap olive oil. The medical facilities are also good as we have a dispensary in our college as well as in our hostel also so that if any students need medicine he/she can take it from there. Sports and games I have already told you that the stadium is very good and there is every facility for many sports and they conduct the "Rohilkhand cup" Every year for students to take part and show their skills in sports.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and well qualified with thorough knowledge. The teaching quality was very good as the teacher do not pressure students and students get sufficient time for their studies. This course is relevant and they build students' knowledge practically and made ready for the industry. As we got enough time to study so I don't find any difficulty in semester exams as I can prepare for the exams in the given period. The pass percentage is also very good hardly any student got back in the semester, I remember 5 students got back in microwave subject in 7th sem as they don't write anything in their paper. So the passing percentage is above 90%.
Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to be a good engineer like my uncle who has a very good package and he settled in Dubai. So you live his lifestyle and I also want to explore the world. The best thing about our course is that students can apply in many fields as they apply for jobs that require graduation and they can also be an engineer, they can become civil servants, serve their countries, and they can become a good engineers in their respective fields. Things that I want to be better in our college is that the proper checking i.e., at the main gate rarely any guard stops anyone, everyone can enter into the campus and because of this sometimes relevant events occurs like fighting, eve-teasing, etc. They took strict action after it happens so I want that proper checking should be done and only students with identification cards should be allowed into the campus and those who want a degree from the campus by show their ID card or by entering their details like from where they have come and for what purpose, thesis mobile numbers with address if this happens so I think that the irrelevant events that sometimes occur in MJPRU will stop. Before Lockdown only one time an event occurred and that was held on the 16,17 and 18 of March 2018 I have participated in the event/fest where I have given solo performances on electric guitar, I have played guitar mashup on it as you can check on youtube with the title "Despacito by Kamran Ashraf" And I have participated in a band also. The campus was decorated very well and a lot of crowds were gathered there as you can see in many videos on YouTube of MJPRU fest. The surrounding is also very good as a lot of trees are there and because of these people from nearby locations come there for morning/evening walks, for running and for exercises as an open gym is also there, and extracurricular activities are also held by a group in every department. In our department, the name of the group was Techvyom which encourages students to take part and perform in extra curriculum activities.

My experience at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Barielly, Uttar Pradesh.
Placements: Placements at our university are average. Very few students get placements. Students are more dependent on off-campus placements than on-campus placements. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the average is around 2.2 LPA. Airtel, Infosys, DLFA, Oracle, Justdial, HCl, and Lava are the top recruiting companies in MJPRU.
Infrastructure: The facilities in the college and hostel are average. The hostel and the college do not have Wi-Fi. Lab facilities in the college are good for studying seriously. In the hostel, the rules are imposed very strictly on students. Mess food is okay to eat and survive in the hostel. The hostel itself has its own open gym. The library facility at our university for our department is good.
Faculty: Very few faculty members are good and helpful. Some of them have very great knowledge of their field. The curriculum is more focused on theoretical knowledge than practical knowledge. Semester exams are not that tough to pass.
Other: If the university focused on the curriculum on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge, it would provide better future engineering.

I suggest you take admission to this college and get placed in good companies.
Placements: Every year about 50% of students get placed. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, and the minimum salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top companies like TCS, HCL, Infosys, etc., visit our college every year for placements. An internship is not provided by the college, and you have to take an internship outside the campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There is Wi-Fi on the campus. Labs are well-equipped, neat, and clean. There is a library with plenty of books. The hostel facility is so good, and the infrastructure is well maintained. The food served in a mess is good.
Faculty: Teachers in our university are well-qualified and very supportive of the students. The course curriculum is good, and it makes students ready for placements. There are 8-semester exams in four years, and it is a little difficult as compared to mid-semester exams.
Other: I have chosen this course due to my interest. The best thing about this course is you can get placed in tech companies and in core companies. Several events are conducted in the college. The scholarship is also available for economically weaker students, but there is no scholarship for students whose parents are government servants.
