MJPRU Bareilly admissions are both merit and entrance-based for respective UG and PG courses. For a few UG courses such as BA, BSc, BCom, etc., admissions are offered based on candidates' merit scores obtained in their last qualifying exam. Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University is accredited with a "B" Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Moreover, the university has 563 affiliated colleges, out of which 56 are government-aided colleges and 507 are self-financed colleges. It is a state-level university that was established in 1975.

Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU) was established in 1975 as Rohilkhand University. It was renamed in 1997 to honor the social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule. It got the status of a residential university in 1985, when four more departments were increased. The university is recognised by the UGC and accredited with a "B" Grade by the NAAC. The university has a campus of 206 acres in Bareilly. MJPRU is affiliated with 215 colleges.  The university has been ranked 34 under the Overall by the India Today 2024.

MJPRU Bareilly conducts its entrance exam such as MJPRU Entrance Exam for admission to specific courses. National-level entrance exams like CUET UG, CUET PG, JEE Main, and others. 

The University has a separate hostel for boys and girls. The main hostel has accommodation for over 250 students. Moreover, the hostel facilities include water coolers, common rooms, phones, xerox machines, Sports Facilities, Canteen, Mess Facility, T.V. facilities, Vehicle Stand, etc.

The National Testing Agency will release the CUET UG 2025 notification and information bulletin tentatively in the last week of February. The CUET UG 2025 notification will mention the important dates pertaining to the application form, admit card, and exam dates. Along with the CUET UG notification, authorities will commence the CUET registrations. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the CUET UG 2025 exam in May/June as part of the common entrance exam calendar. 

The CUET UG notification will mention the details pertaining to filling out the CUET application form, downloading the process of admit card, exam pattern, syllabus, eligibility, CUET exam centres, reservation policy, answer key, and results.
