Mangalore University offers courses such as BSc in various specialisations for the duration of 3 years to 4 years in full-time mode. Admissions to the respective courses is offered on the basis of merit and requires for candidates to secure a minimum aggregate of 35% in Class 12 with valid scores in CBSE 12, Karnataka 2 PUC, ISC, KCET, UK 12. The university offers admission to BSc with an annual intake of 5400+ students. 

Mangalore University offers courses at the UG, PG, PhD, PG Diploma, and Certificate levels. Admission to majority of courses is offered on the basis of Karnataka PGCET and KCET. Primarily, Mangalore University offers courses such as BPEd and MBA on the basis of valid scores of KCET. Apart from this, candidates must qualify Class 12 and graduation for admission to UG and PG level courses. 

Mangalore University offers BCA as a 3 year UG level programme. Admission to BCA is offered on the basis of merit and would require candidates to secure a minimum aggregate of 35% to 45% in Class 12. Candidates must secure valid scores in previously attempted institutional level entrance exam. However, there has not been any other set of entrance exams indicated by the university for the admission to BCA course. 

The university follows the offline mode of application. Candidates need to download and send the filled form to the university.

Students are admitted to B.PEd. course on the basis of their marks obtained in the entrance test, merit in the qualifying examination, and on the basis of sports representation.

Admission to BSc at Mangalore University is merit-based/ entrance-based. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The next step is to qualify for the merit/cutoff list. Some of the affiliated colleges of Mangalore University accept the scores of the last qualifying exam for admission to BSc courses. On the other hand, other colleges might accept the scores of entrance examinations too for admissions to BSc courses. However, to check the acceptance of entrance examinations, candidates should directly reach out to the admission department of the respective college. 

Yes, candidates can get direct admissions to BSc courses at Mangalore University-affiliated colleges. However, before getting enrolled, candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria, i.e., the successful completion of the Class 12 examination or its equivalent from a recognised board with related stream/ subjects. Admissions are based on the merit of the last qualifying examination marks.

Mangalore University offers BSc courses in full-time and part-time mode through its affiliated colleges. Moreover, the colleges offers a range of specialsiations in distinct subjects. Some of the offered specialsiations are- Nursing, Hospitality Science, Interior Deisgning, (Botany, Zoology, Chemistry), (Food, Nutrition, Dietics), etc. 

Mangalore University offers a BSc in Animation and Visual Effects course for the duration of three years. This course is offered through one of its affiliated college- Silicon College of Advanced Studies. The subjects offered in the first semester of this course include theory and practical subjects that are closely related to creating or enhancing imagery in films, games, and other media. Mangalore University does offer BSc courses through, affiliated colleges for the duration of three years, divided into six semesters. The BSc courses are offered by Mangalore University's affiliated colleges, not directly by the university itself. Mangalore University sets the academic guidelines and curriculum, but the affiliated colleges conduct the classes and manage admissions for these programmes. The eligibility criteria to get admission into BSc courses candidates must complete their Class 12 from the Science background or the relevant subjects according to the specialisation, candidates want to choose.
