Average college which provides medium range packages.
Placements: Placements, as I've heard and come to know from seniors, are average. Mass recruiters like TCS, Capgemini, and other companies hire a lot of students. Apart from that, companies offering packages of 5–6 LPA are also present. The maximum package is around 8–9 LPA. Still, some students wait until the 8th semester to get placed, and even after the 8th semester ends, some are still waiting for opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Chairs in classrooms are comfortable, but we have fans instead of air conditioning, and during summers, classes get very hot. Labs have decent computers where you can code, and there is Wi-Fi connectivity as well. In the hostel, the food is below average, but the overall campus has a lot of greenery.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and the curriculum is easy. You can pass exams by studying just one night before. The passing marks are 18 out of a total of 60. The curriculum does not make students industry-ready, they have to put in their own effort to get jobs.

Not satisfied because of the crowd of students.
Placements: If 2000 students were sitting for an interview round, only 200 got placed just talking about computer Science engineering. The highest package I heard is some 40 LPA, and the lowest I heard is 3 LPA in my course. Top recruiting companies are TCS and Cognizant. I have a very vague idea of the percentage of students getting internships; it's very low. Generally, we are given a period, and we have to find internships on our own. Top roles offered in my course are developer and software engineer.
Infrastructure: Our college has a bus facility, which is helpful for people living in Indore, Dewas. The college infrastructure is pretty well-designed, and it's peaceful to watch the campus. Library is on three floors with a lot of silence and security. Labs are available on every floor and there are at least 4 on each floor with more than a sufficient number of computers we have ethernet cable for Wi-Fi with excellent Wi-Fi speed. The boys' hostel life is not good but girls hostel is pretty well.
Faculty: Teachers are punctual with their schedules and help us to teach as well as they can. The course curriculum is highly relevant to the degree I'm pursuing. Every theory subject has practicals with it. So we get both theory and practical knowledge of specific subjects. The level of semester exams is high, the questions are not just taken from previous years' papers. I'm not sure about pass percentage but if we have a theory exam of 60 then we have to score at least 18 marks.
Other: I chose this course because I feel it's beneficial for the future. The best thing about my course is punctuality and strictness. The things which I wish should be improved is they should not just fill students in college, they should stick to particular criteria with a limited number of seats so that college doesn't get much crowded. Events don't happen much in the college and if they even happen we don't get to know about them because we are pretty busy in our classes. There's one fest called Moonstone which happens every year that's good.

How is VITM Indore for B.Tech CSE? How are the placements there?

VITM Indore is not same as SIU. SIU is a decade old deemed to be university where colleges are more than 25 to 30 years old and reputed.
