My honest opinion of St. Thomas College, Pala.
Placements: Placements had well-defined procedures. There was a big placement team that helped us prepare better for placements and grab a good job. A student who had studied decently throughout was guaranteed to get placed in a reputed company that provided the best profiles to selected candidates. Lots of companies visited the campus every year. The average package was around 7 LPA. McKinsey, BCG, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, ITC, Asian Paints, BNP Paribas, Lehman, and Google were among the top recruiters.
Infrastructure: There were separate hostels for boys and girls. Hostel rooms were shared as well as separate. The rooms were of average standard, with an uninterrupted supply of electricity and water and reasonable charges. The mess food was good and hygienic, with separate charges. The hostel was secured with guards.
Faculty: The course curriculum was very good. It included all aspects of management studies. It gave a perfect overview of business management and its environment. The exams happened every semester. The course curriculum was constantly updated by providing relevant courses in the fields of marketing, finance, operations, HR, and skill building. Faculty members were experienced. The majority of them had Ph.D. degrees and teaching experience. Most of the faculty members teaching in the college knew what they were doing. There were many experienced professors who were really inspiring to look up to. The course curriculum was updated according to the needs of the industries. The curriculum included case studies based on real situations of firms or industries and analyzing them. It also included the soft skills that a student basically needed.

Review of St. Thomas College, Pala.
Placements: The college provided a good platform for placing students in reputed companies. There was a separate placement cell in the college that looked after placement-related work. Various companies came to the college and conducted interviews. Many students were selected for jobs as well as internships. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, Amazon, Flipkart, and Wipro visited the campus. The average package was 3 LPA to 6 LPA. The highest package was around 24–28 LPA. It depended on the student's experience and knowledge. Companies made offers based on interviews and practical tests.
Faculty: Faculty was provided by university. They were highly qualified and experienced in their departments. Faculty members were very well educated. They had ample knowledge related to the course. They were very interactive and masters of their departments. Most of the faculty members had doctorates in their fields. The standard of teaching was simple and quite high. They had a good teaching sense and were cooperative with students whenever required. The semester examination system was followed, with end-semester exams and mid-semester exams. The exam level was moderate. There were also practical tests and viva examinations conducted by external examiners. The course covered a wide range of topics. It was generally a hectic day for Chemistry students, with normal classes and practical classes. The course gave students a thorough and competitive grounding in the fundamentals of the subject and prepared them for higher education as well as a diverse range of careers in pharmaceutics.
