Admission to this PG-level course is through a Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). For selection, candidates have to take the MGU CAT exam, which is conducted in-house. Based on the candidates' score in the entrance examination, a selection list is released by the university. Candidates who make it to the list become eligible for participation in the counselling round. The seats are allotted after document verification during counselling.

The MGU MSc course aspirants with a valid BSc or equivalent degree with at least 50% aggregate are eligible to apply. Students getting admitted to the MG University BA course must have passed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate. The selection list will be announced by the university in an online mode. Yes, hostel facilities are offered by the School of Indian Legal Thought. There are separate accommodations for both boys and girls with all the basic amenities for comfortable living including security, electricity, water supply, internet, etc.
