Satisfied with the placement record in the last 3 years.

Infrastructure: NIT Silchar was built on a total of 625 acres. A nature-rich campus with more than 20 lakes and 2-3 gardens. Classrooms are digitalised. The infrastructure for the CSE course is good, labs are well managed, and a LAN (Ethernet) is provided to every hostel room. Hostel maintenance is above average, and there are 9 boys' hostels and 4 girls' hostels. Food quality is good, and our college has a good sports management team. We have a dispensary clinic in the college itself.

Satisfied with staff members.

Infrastructure: The university covers an area of 15 acres. The building is well-designed and maintained. The classrooms are designed with 4.0 teaching technology and also provide Wi-Fi facilities in every class and hall. The hostel also provides good facilities like fresh food, gym, Wi-Fi, etc.

Good college as a NIT and good placement +.

Infrastructure: NIT Silchar EE department has decent labs and LAN access, but classrooms lack modern facilities, and teaching quality varies. However, hostel life is vibrant and enjoyable with good mess food, clean rooms, friendly environment, and making campus life memorable.

My review about this college.

Infrastructure: College faculty is very good and interested in learning. The chemistry lab is also in campus, which is very clean, and there are many chemical products that help in learning more about it. Exams are also held on campus and are subjected to classes. There are 9 hostels for boys in this college and 3 hostels for girls. The hostel infrastructure is good. Mess facilities, TV room, sports room, and good spacious rooms are there. And it is also very cheap. There are single rooms, double rooms, and tri...

My review about this college.

Infrastructure: Course is pretty good and has a lot of focus on practical learning. Every semester, there are 2-3 laboratories of 2 credits each. The institute has taken many research initiatives and has a separate research and innovation cell for these activities. I have opted for and been allotted a hostel since the first year. I got a hostel room which was initially for PG students, so the rooms are great. I got a double room in the 1st year. The rooms and facilities are excellent. Mess food is compensable. ...

My review of this college.

Infrastructure: I have opted for a hostel which is compulsory in our college. I share my hostel room with a fellow colleague of mine. Rooms are quiet with a 24-hour electricity supply. There is a bed, a table, a chair, a wardrobe, and a balcony in the room. The lighting condition is also quite good. The hostel rent is Rs. 15,000 per semester.

Placement and college life of NIT Silchar.

Infrastructure: NIT Silchar has the largest library in Asia, and the classrooms and labs are being modernized. The Wi-Fi speed is quite good in all academic areas, although it only works in the hostel lanes. The classrooms are in a very peaceful location where students enjoy studying and exploring.

NIT Silchar is good in placements and campus life. City life is poor, that's all.

Infrastructure: Facilities of the hostel and the infrastructure of the Electronics and Instrumentation branch are very good, even EI is known as the coolest branch of NIT Silchar. The food quality of the hostel is above average. Canteen is good but a little bit cheaper, and vegetarians may face problems.

The college has good infrastructure.

Infrastructure: The quality is not top-notch but the basic facilities like clean drinking water clean washrooms and a bathroom are available, the food qualities are not too bad it can fill your stomach for the 3 times of the day and the snacks are available the canteen foods are good. For the medical facilities. We have a dispensary where basic medicine is available and for the sports. We have football and cricket grounds for the outdoor games and for the indoor games, we have a sports complex.

Decent placement ratio in 2025.

Infrastructure: All classes are digital classrooms. Labs are decent. My department is very good, with enough instruments available for experiments. The Wi-Fi provided by the library is good. However, we have LAN in the hostel, and we don't have a Wi-Fi connection. The mess food is average. There is a medical dispensary right next to the girls' hostel. The sports facilities are also good.

This is my short review of my campus, NIT Silchar.

Infrastructure: They provide excellent Wi-Fi, lab, and classroom facilities along with good freedom, but hostels are a bit average. Hostels are built like those from the 80s and 90s, which makes your room feel old. Until the fourth year, you don’t get any privacy in your room as only triple-sharing rooms are allotted.

Not my dream IIT but my reality - My NIT Silchar.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are generally basic in the old gallery in which upto 2 years your classes will occur after which 3rd year onwards, your classes will occur in new gallery. There are cool classes compared to old gallery. Wi-Fi is not available everywhere but LAN services are quite good. Labs are also well-maintained. Not too big but we have Asia's biggest digital library but to be frank, it is just like an ordinary library. Hostel facilities are quite good. Food is also good enough. But it will vary ac...

NIT Silchar campus life.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not so good as the rooms are maintained by ourselves. The building is very old which is from the 1960s the playground, classrooms, and library are good. Especially the library which is 2nd the largest library in Asia and ethernet is provided which is helpful.

College is good. Connectivity to the city is not so good. All other things are good.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is not as good as I expected. But the college is full of greenery. We get the best hostel for the first year separately. Cleanliness is good, but hostel food is the worst. For pure veggies, it is not easy to survive, mostly paneer is given at dinner.

The college kid who is okay.

Infrastructure: We have Asia's biggest digital library which offers pretty much exposure to the course. Classrooms and hostel are average, you can say. All of the classrooms are not fully equipped or the maintenance is very poor. The food in the hostel is replaceable, if everyone votes if they do not like it then it can be changed.
