Beautiful college with good faculty, nice people of Assam, zero ragging, and good sports facilities.

Faculty: Mostly, teachers are very helpful and very good. They are very qualified, and most of them teach very well. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are tough to moderate, but as students come after clearing the JEE exam, they mostly pass. Only a few students fail. The pass percentage is more than 95 percent.

It offers good education and facilities. Placements are better for non-core roles.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching style is old school type. They come to class and give lectures for their respective time period and go. They do not cover doubt and carry all students. The course curriculum is relevant, and it prepares us for industrial material, and in labs, we will experience it. Semester exams are not as tough as the entrance paper. Almost all papers come from notes, so it will be easy to prepare. The minimum pass percentage is 33 percent.

My review about this college.

Faculty: Faculty members are highly educated and experienced as well. There are a lot of senior faculty members. Junior faculty members have also joined in recent times. We like the teaching of some and don't like the teaching of some others, just like any other college. They are always there to clear any type of your doubt. They also motivate every student to do well. They are also carrying out their research work. Many have bagged prestigious awards for their research works. Exams are semester based, t...

Fees are lower compared to other NITs.

Faculty: The faculty members are very cooperative. Professors can speak fluent English, so there are no language barriers among students and faculty. They are well educated and well disciplined. The course curriculum is one of the best in the world, as there are many things that other colleges don't implement, but our college does. The world-class course curriculum is the reason for the success of many students who have studied here.

The college and the surroundings are also very good.

Faculty: In Mechanical Engineering, there are five teachers from the top 2% of the world who joined two months ago. The course curriculum is relevant, and we do labs that help us adapt to the industry. The exams for Mechanical Engineering students are very tough. We have to be able to handle complex computations on our own. Academically, the college provides a decent environment for learning. Some professors are truly inspiring and supportive. While others might make you question your life choices during...

Satisfied with the placement record in the last 3 years.

Faculty: Every teacher is well qualified. They have good knowledge about the subject. They were helpful for exam purposes. Their notes were very valuable. NIT curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Curriculum is improved according to upcoming technology changes. The semester exams' difficulty level is medium to hard. The pass percentage is 85-90 every semester.

Good college as a NIT and good placement +.

Faculty: NIT Silchar follows a semester system with continuous assessment through quizzes, mid and end-term exams. EE curriculum includes theory, labs, and projects. Teachers are knowledgeable but teaching quality varies across subjects. Relatively grading at NIT Silchar does exist, but its impact is limited some students report that although the institute uses relatively grading, the presence of high-performing peers (toppers) often makes the system functional similar to absolute grading. Here's how CGP...

My review about this college.

Faculty: Faculty of the college consists of Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors, with a minimum qualification of Ph.D. They are recruited after grounds of interview and are among the best in their field. The faculty of NIT Silchar is highly experienced, engaged in some good research work, and are student-friendly. They understand us. They always want to remain connected to students. Exams are held in semester system. Each semester is of six months. Exams are held twice in a year, a...

My review about this college.

Faculty: Faculty is very much qualified, 90% of professors, assistant professors, and associate professors are Ph.D. holders and have completed many research papers. They are well aware of the courses, and the course design is also very good. Every time I got study material easily. They are also very interactive; you can contact them anytime, anywhere. Overall, the teaching standard is good now. Faculty is helpful for every student in the issue of learning and they make us improve ourselves. The course d...

My review of this college.

Faculty: Faculty members are good and helpful. They are very knowledgeable and everyone did their PhD in their respective fields. They explain our doubts clearly. They explain everything and we can ask them any question without any fear. They are very friendly. There are two major exams in a semester. One is mid-semester carrying 30 marks and one end-semester carrying 50 marks. The rest 20 marks are internal out of which 10 are given on a class test and the rest 10 on assignments and attendance. NIT Silchar is good in placements and campus life. City life is poor, that's all.

Faculty: Faculty members at the National Institute of Technology are good. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable, few faculties are among the top 2% of scientists. The course curriculum is fantastic, but the semesters are a little bit tougher than other colleges, but overall good.

The college has good infrastructure.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable but some are a little rude. The teaching qualities varies teacher to teacher but overall it a good. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and helpful in the student industry. The semester exams are not that tough, a student can pass by studying one night before the exam. The pass percentage is around 85%.

Decent placement ratio in 2025.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and very knowledgeable. It is good to be in contact with them for greater insight into career options. The teaching quality is above average. Some teachers are surely not good. They just don't put effort into teaching, but the rest are excellent. My course prepares students for both teaching and core placements as it provides opportunities for both. Semester exams are not too tough to pass, but they need a good amount of preparation to pass the subject. The pass perce...

This is my short review of my campus, NIT Silchar.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and kind and give their best in teaching. Semester exams are a bit moderate, but you have very little time to study. They give very less time for exams to complete, which affects people who have studied but haven’t revised multiple times.
