NLU Assam LLM admission 2024 is done through CLAT. For admission through CLAT candidates have to submit the application fee, other than the course fee. National Law University Assam admission to all the programmes is done online through the official website of the university. Find below the detailed admission process followed by NLU Assam for admission:

Step 1: For NLU Assam admissions to BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programme registrations are done through CLAT. Candidates must visit the official website of CNLU to apply for CLAT.  

Step 2: The registered candidates are required to appear for CLAT entrance exam for admission to BA LLB and LLM programmes. After that, candidates willing to get admission in BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes, have to go through the CLAT counselling process for acceptance of seats. To confirm the allotment, candidates have to accept the seat allotment, after that the allotment will get frozen.

Step 3: Candidates who will accept the allotted seat need to upload all the required documents on the official portal. After that candidates, will be required to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats within a stipulated deadline. 

CLAT 2024 dates for admission to NLU Assam are out. Students seeking admission to LLM course offered at National Law University Assam can apply for CLAT 2024 on or before Nov 3, 2023 since the applications are currently ongoing. Only students who fill out the application form as well as, pay the fee are issued admit cards to appear for CLAT exam 2024. Students can log in using their registered mobile number and password to update their preferences in CLAT 2024 application form. 

Conducted in pen-and-paper mode, candidates have to attempt questions from English, Current Affairs and GK, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Mathematics for UG course, and from Constitutional Law, and other law subjects like Jurisprudence, Torts, IPC, CrPC, CPC, Family Law, and IPR. For admission 2024 at NLU Assam, the exam is scheduled for Dec 3, 2023.

Candidates who are willing to get into NLU Assam for the one-year LLM course must specific the desired course in the application form.

For admission to National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam LLM course, candidates have to register through CLAT portal. Registered candidates for CLAT 2025 counselling will be called by NLU Assam. Candidates, who have been allocated a seat in the provisional lists and applied for revision, should check the status of their seat in the CLAT provisonal lists. 

For admission to one-year LLM at NLU Assam, the CLAT test will be conducted on Dec 3, 2023. Aspirants of NLU Assam are required to appear for the exam in offline pen-paper mode at the allotted test centres. Candidates can complete the CLAT registration 2024 until Nov 3, 2023 in online mode. The exam will take place in more than 125 cities listed as CLAT 2024 test centres in 22 states and UTs. The detailed schedule of CLAT 2024 will be declared soon along with the CLAT Exam Centers 2024.

• The CLAT question paper for undergraduate courses has total 120 passage-based objective-type questions from five subjects - English Language,   Logical Reasoning,   Legal Reasoning,  CLAT Affairs including General Knowledge and Quantitative Techniques. 

• The CLAT LLM question paper has both objective- and subjective-type questions. However, last year, the CLAT Consortium removed the descriptive section from the LLM paper. Check complete CLAT 2024 exam pattern for LLM.

The NLU Assam placement report is yet to be released on the official website. Once it is released, the placement rate will be updated here. However, as per the NLU Assam NIRF report 2023, only 1 student was placed out of total 57 students in 2021.
