NMIMS Mumbai BBA LLB Courses & Fees 2026: Eligibility, Selection, How to Apply

To get admission to NMIMS BA LLB (Hons) course, candidates must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Aspirants need to create an account for NMIMS-LAT. After registering for NMIMS-LAT, complete the application process and appear for the exam. Apart from NMIMS-LAT, the university also accepts CLAT scores for admission to this programme. Candidates seeking admission must have a valid NMAT score to be eligible for the admissions. As per the NMIMS Mumbai NMAT cutoff 2024, the last-round for MBA (Part-time) and MBA (Full-time) courses stood at 248 and 220 for admission to NMIMS Mumbai for the General category students in the All India quota. From past two years, the cutoff remained constant for the given courses. So, assuming that the cutoff for the upcoming admission session 2025 can stood the same at 248 and 220 . Although, it is an estimated guess and the NEET cutoff is subject to many factors such as competition, difficulty level of the exam, and previous year trend. 

No, it's not easy to get admission in NMIMS Mumbai. The acceptance rate at the university is extremely low, with the flagship MBA accepting less than 1% of the total applicants. NMIMS University is one of the top universities of the country and the competition is high. 

As per students, the new selection criteria for MBA now requires the applicant to clear the sectional cutoff. This means, that all sections have to be covered fully.

NMIMS Mumbai will determine the merit list considering the marks secured by the candidates in their respective qualifying exams and entrance exam scores required for that particular programme. NMIMS Mumbai accepts the score of NMAT, NPAT, NMIMS CET/ SAT/ ACT /NMIMS-LAT /CLAT / LSAT/ NMIMS-CET for admission to various UG and PG programmes. To appear in an entrance exam candidates need to meet the respective eligibility criteria to apply for any of the programmes. To qualify the entrance exam, candidate need to meet the minimum cutoff score for that particular programme. 

NMAT registration typically commence in the first week of August every year. Candidates must complete the NMAT registration before the deadline to appear for the exam. Candidates who wish to retake the exam later within the current testing widnow are also required to apply before the last date.

NMAT exam is conducted for the admission to PGDM course. After the result declaration, it is advisable to the candiates to be attentive and vigiliant throughout the admission process. Candidates should keep their documents ready for the next stages.

The next stage of the NMAT selection process is the Group Discussion and Personal Interview  (GD & PI) round conducted by the participating institutes.

The participating institute may also decide to conduct a WAT (Writing Ability Test) or Case Discussion (CD) round instead of the conventional GD round. Yes, students have to apply separately for NMIMS MBA admission after NMAT results are out. Students must go to the NMIMS website and register online. To submit the form, candidates have to provide documents and application fees.

Yes, the entrance examination is a computer-based online examination to be held at the test centres. Every year SVKM’s NMIMS conducts the UG Entrance examination (NPAT) for class 12 passed-out / appearing candidates across campuses. 

The candidates who is in first-year and have paid the fees for the academic year can withdraw the admission and be eligible for refunds per the NMIMS refund policy. Given below  procedure for admission withdrawal at NMIMS Mumbai

Step 1: The student will submit the application form available on our website.

Step 2: The admission office will check the completion of the application and process if it is complete.

Step 3: If the application is post commencement the candidate will have to provide the clearance/ no dues from different departments.

Step 4: Documents will be sent for approval and then submitted to the Accounts department.

Step 5: It will take 15 days for refund (if applicable). Kindly note, in case of pandemic going on and increasing or natural calamity we will inform you of any delay

Step 6: Candidate can put a request for Migration / leaving certificate if the withdrawal is post commencement of the program.

A total of 108 questions appear in NMAT exam. Each section of NMAT exam has 36 questions. All three sections have equal weightage in NMAT exam.

SVKMs NMIMS conducts the NPAT exam over a testing window of more than 100 days. Candidates get an option to schedule the exam after they have submitted the online application form. Admit card for NMIMS NPAT exam will be released immediately after the candidate books the slot to appear for NPAT. Candidates can carry hard or soft copy of the NPAT admit card on the exam day to get entry inside the exam hall.
