Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will release the CLAT result 2027 online on its official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The candidates will be required to check their resullt online and download the CLAT Scorecard. It will be issued under the candidate's login. As per the official timeline, the CLAT 2027 exam date is December 6.
The Consortium will prepare the CLAT 2027 result and release the common merit list based on the CLAT answer key. Candidates must preserve their score card because it will be required in the CLAT 2027 Counselling. The CLAT UG result and CLAT PG result will be announced together. How to Check CLAT 2027 Result?

The Consortium will conduct the CLAT 2027 in offline mode at the designated exam centres. The candidates will be required to mark their answers on the OMR sheet provided at the examination centre.
How to Check CLAT Result 2027?
Candidates can check their CLAT exam result in the following manner;
- Visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in
- Login using the Registration Number and Password
- Under Result tab, click on the View Score Card tab.
- Your result/ scorecard will be displayed on the screen
- Download and take a printout of result PDF to refer it at the time of counselling registration, and seat allotment process.
The details about the result and scores will be stated in the CLAT scorecard.

No, the CLAT Scorecard will not be sent by post. The only way to get the scorecard is to download it online. Candidates can visit CLAT portal; i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Enter their login ID and password. The CLAT Result will appear on their screen.

Apart from the other important documents required for CLAT Counselling, the CLAT Scorecard is must. Candidates must ensure to cross check the details mentioned on the scorecard before downloading it. In case of discrepancies, reach out to the consortium before the counselling day.
The Consortium will release the CLAT Counselling Schedule along with the result. The CLAT First Merit List will likely be released by December end. The Consortium will release five round merit list.
The Consortium will release atleast five merit list to complete the admission process through CLAT Score. However, the number of merit list might change in case of some discrepancy in answer key or result.
How is CLAT Rank calculated?
Consortium of National Law Universities will calculate the raw marks of the candidates based on the answers given in the CLAT 2027. Thfinal rank of the candidates will be arrived at in stages. Candidates can check the CLAT Rank through these steps to understand which NLU they can get.
- Calculating the Raw Score
Based on the marking scheme, i.e., one mark for a correct answer and -0.25 for each wrong attempt, the raw score is calculated. For example, if a candidate answers 100 questions correctly and 20 incorrectly out of 150, the score will be
Raw Score = (100 × 1) – (20 × 0.25) = 100 – 5 = 95
- Merit List
The consortium will then prepare a merit list based on the raw scores of all candidates. The one with the highest score will be marked Rank 1 and so on.
- Tie-breaking Rule
In case, two or more candidates score the same marks in CLAT 2027, the consortium will follow the sequence given below to decide the merit rank:

There is no such provision to check the CLAT Result offline. Candidates must go to consortiumofnlus.ac.in to check the Result once announced. CLAT 2027 Scorecard can be downloaded from the same website.
The CLAT Topper List will be released along with the CLAT 2027 Result. It must be noted that the admission to the NLU will be given based on the preference choosen by the candidate while filling the application form.
While the CLAT Exam is held for NLUs, it is not for NLU Delhi. So, candidates who wish to get admission at NLU Delhi will have to clear AILET Exam and score expected cutoff.
What after CLAT Result 2027?
The CLAT 2027 admission process after the results are as mentioned below:
- CLAT counselling: The number of candidates invited for CLAT counselling will be five times the number of seats available in every category. The consortium will upload the list of eligible candidates on its website before the start of counselling registration.
- CLAT cutoff: The Consortium of NLUs will release it online at the time of seat allotment. The cutoff is the minimum marks/rank that aspirants need to secure in order to get admission to a 5-year LLB or one-year LLB program

Once the CLAT Result has been announced, the consortium will begin CLAT Counselling Registration. Only those candidates who have registered will be called for CLAT Counselling. So, candidates must register to participate in counselling. Once the counselling is over, candidates will have to pay the fees at the respective NLU to confirm their admission.
A good rank in the CLAT exam for general category students is under 1,000–1,500 to secure admission in top-tier National Law Universities (NLUs). A rank under 500 is considered excellent for the top 5 NLUs, while a rank up to 3,000–5,000 can still secure a seat in newer, mid-tier NLUs.
No you can not get admission to 26 participating NLUs without clearing CLAT Exam. For admission to NLU Delhi, you need to clear AILET Exam.

CLAT Cutoff 2027
The CLAT 2027 cutoff will be released at the time of counseling and seat allotment. The cutoff will be released NLU-wise for UG and PG courses separately. The cutoff will be released in the form of closing ranks.
