CLAT Result 2023 - The Consortium of NLUs will declare the results of CLAT 2023 in the last week of December 2022 tentatively. The results will be published in online mode at the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in (direct link provided below). CLAT 2023 result will contain details like the candidate's overall and sectional scores, and merit rank. The CLAT 2023 merit rank list will be shared at the time of admission and seat allotments. Candidates who are ranked higher in CLAT 2023 merit list would be given preference during allotment. CLAT 2023 scores will be used by the participating NLUs for admission to their 5-year integrated and one-year LLM courses. Note that for admission to the above courses, the candidate will have to meet the CLAT 2023 cut-off in their respective category.

How to Check CLAT 2023 Result

Candidates can download the CLAT result 2023 following the steps mentioned below:

  1. Go to official website, and click on the result link - consortiumofnlus.ac.in 
  2. A log-in window will open
  3. Fill in the following details:
    1. Registered mobile number
    2. Password 
  4. On successful login, the results would be displayed on the screen
  5. Download and take a printout of the CLAT 2023 scorecard.

CLAT Result 2023: Tie-breaker Rule

In case, two or more candidates score the same marks in CLAT 2023, the consortium will follow the sequence given below to decide the merit rank:

The tie will be decided in the following sequence:

  1. Higher marks in the legal aptitude section of CLAT 2023
  2. Higher age
  3. Computerized draw of lots.

The tie will be decided in the following sequence:

CLAT Merit List 2023

CLAT Consortium will publish the CLAT merit list for UG and PG courses separately. The CLAT merit list will be prepared based on the total marks scored by candidates in the exam. This means that a student scoring higher marks will be given a higher rank in the merit list.

The merit list will include information like All India Ranks (AIRs), roll numbers, and total marks. All candidates whose names have appeared in the merit list are eligible to participate in CLAT 2023 counseling for seat allotment procedure at the National Law Universities (NLUs)

What after CLAT Result 2023?

The CLAT admission process after the results are declared is as mentioned below: 

  • CLAT counseling: The number of candidates invited for counseling will be FIVE times the number of seats available in each category. The consortium will upload the list of eligible candidates on its website before the start of counseling registration.
  • CLAT cutoff: The Consortium of NLUs will release the CLAT cutoff on its official website at the time of seat allotment. The cutoff is the minimum marks/rank that aspirants need to secure in order to get admission to a 5-year LLB or one-year LLB program.

CLAT Cutoff 2023

The CLAT 2023 cutoff would be released at the time of counseling and seat allotment. The cutoff would be released NLU-wise for UG and PG courses separately. The cutoff will be released in the form of closing ranks.

Q: When will CLAT results be declared?

A: The CLAT 2023 result will be announced by last week of December 2022 or within a few weeks of the conduct of the entrance exam i.e December 18, 2022. The result will be released in the form of a scorecard. The CLAT merit list 2023 will be released soon after.

Q: What is a good CLAT score?

A: For Open category students, a score above 110 is usually considered good for LLB admissions in any of the top NLUs. 

Q: How to check CLAT results?

A: Candidates can check CLAT result on the official website of the exam by using their mobile number and password or registration/application number and date of birth.

Q: Who is the topper of CLAT exam?

A: Some of the toppers of CLAT exam are: CLAT 2022 topper Rishabh Shivani, followed by Meenal Jain and Shivaansh Chowdhary at AIR 2 and AIR 3 respectively. Harshit Gupta with 117.75 marks and Akshat Aggarwal with 115.25 marks secured a rank among Top 5 candidates for UG paper. A: Over 60,000 students give CLAT exam every year. In CLAT 2022, 60,895 candidates registered for the exam, and 56,472 candidate appeared for the exam. In CLAT 2021, total of 62,106 students appeared for the law entrance exam.

Is it tougher to get through the AILET than the CLAT?

No tougher. Both exams have similar syllabus so the preparation of any exam will help in other exam. Because the number of seats in National law university Delhi in B.A. LL.B. Are about 110 only. Whereas in NLUs through CLAT UG are about 621. So, the difficulty level of AILET is little bit higher.

The CLAT UG Syllabus 2023 is divided into five sections: English Comprehension, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, Quantitative Techniques (Mathematics), Legal Reasoning and Logical Reasoning. So, from above there is no difference in syllabus of both exams. However difficult level can be varying. As per the experience shared by students, The difficulty level of AILET is higher.

The difficulty of CLAT is however moderate compared to AILET. It is also tough to keep up with the exam time and negative marking in CLAT the duration of exam is of 2 hours, the duration of AILET is 1 hour 30 minutes.
