Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are CMAT, CAT, ACPC Admission, CUET-PG, and others. Candidates willing to get admission must take part in the NEHU Shillong admission process before the last date of application.

Not all course admissions at NEHU University Shillong are based on CUET. BTech admissions are based on JEE Main. For various courses like BCA, BA, BSc, and others, CUET is accepted by the NEHU University Shillong.
