Great campus and infrastructure. Good faculty members and vibrant student life.
Placements: Not many companies come for placements but some come. Offering good packages, and 50% of students get placed. Internships are good here, and you get internships easily. Faculty members and alumni provide guidance for internship opportunities and workshops. Some wonderful industrial workshops are organized for exposure.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good for the department with functioning labs and large classrooms. Hostels are connected with proper Wi-Fi with water and theater facilities. Rooms are for 3 people and quite spacious. Mess food is also edible. Frequent cleaning drives are done.
Faculty: Faculty members in this department are very helpful and guide me through the journey. Faculty members are highly experienced. Examinations are quite easy if you study properly and make proper notes in class. Most of the students pass if they study properly. The whole course teaches you incredible industrial exposure.

It has a peaceful campus, natural beauty, and a lot of greenery.
Placements: Around 50% of students get placed every year with a minimum package of 2.5 LPA. The average package ranges from 4-7 LPA. The highest package offered last year was 14 LPA. One of the students from the biomedical department also got an international package of 28 LPA. The top recruiters are TCS and Infosys. Some new startups from Delhi also hire a few students. Internships are mandatory in the 6th semester. Mostly, local companies in the Northeast hire students for internships. The ECE course has few placements as compared to other departments according to states of the last 2 years. If students are coming here only for placements then I suggest them not to join it.
Infrastructure: Hostel management is not up to mark. Only students who belong to Meghalaya are in the management team. There is one security guard for one hostel who has a bare minimum role to play. Food quality is good enough to just survive. Wi-Fi speed is good but we can't play games on it. Classrooms and labs are old and not maintained properly. Most of the equipment is not working, and we have to manage in groups. The university has one central library which contains more than 2 lakh books and many more things. It is huge and the only place I love on campus.
Faculty: Many teachers are from the Northeast, either from West Bengal or Assam. Teachers are helpful except for a few. Almost All of them are PhD holders from this university itself. The course curriculum is relevant, and it is now according to the new education policy of 2020. It does not make students industry-ready in my point of view. Semester exams are not very difficult, and it is from teacher class notes only.

College life is great with good friends and teachers, a beautiful campus, and a healthy lifestyle.
Placements: Some companies visited, and students got selected, but the number was less than expected. The university brings companies to our campus, but it is still too few for many students. HCL Tech is one of the top companies. The teachers did their best in this regard.
Infrastructure: Food quality in the hostel is okay, and the water facility is also good. But, the Wi-Fi is not very reliable. The labs use outdated computers, and the library is decent, with good books available for use. Medical facilities are also available. There are many grounds for playing games like basketball and volleyball, and students play every day.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Some papers are hard and some are okay. If we just study, we will manage. The pass percentage is 40, with 20 from midterms (they take the average of two midterms), and the other 20 from assignments and quizzes. So, if we do well there, we can easily pass.
Other: IT is demanding nowadays. If they teach us to use recent technology, it will be very helpful. There are university fests for enjoyment, cleaning drives, camping, and trekking to refresh the mind.

We don't have a department library so this is a dissatisfied part. But overall experience is good.
Placements: Almost 70% of students have gotten placement and 30% doing further studies. The highest package, in my knowledge, is 9.6 LPA. 100% students got internships in hospital and companies like mindray, Philips, etc. top roles offered in my course are service and sales engineer, maintenance engineer, and design engineer .
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi facilities in our hostels and departments. Lab rooms are also there, and there are many pieces of equipment. All the classrooms have projectors and smart boards. The hostel food is quite good. Medical facilities like ambulances and one health centre are also available at our university. For sports, there is a football field, a basketball court, a cricket field, and a volleyball field at our university.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable at our university. They have done their post-graduation and Ph.D. from IIT and NIT. They provide us with learning materials that are very helpful for preparing for our exams. They teach us very well. We have a common hall for all the engineering departments where we all give exams together. Two facilities from each department will be present as examination guards.

I do not like this college because they do not provide placement facilities.
Placements: Around 40 percent of students were placed in our course. The highest package is 10.8 lakhs per annum and the lowest package is 2.3 lakhs per annum, with an average package of 6.5 lakhs per annum. The top recruiting companies for our course are Infosys, Cognizant, and EY Global Delivery Service. Total 60 percent of students got internships in Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities available in our college are not that good, but the infrastructure is good. They provide poor Wi-Fi facilities, classrooms, labs, and a library with all necessary books. The hostel is not great, but they provide food facilities with a clean mess. They also offer medical facilities in emergencies and provide sports and games equipment.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable, and they help us in learning more and more. Our subjects are curriculum relevant, which helps in being industry-ready. The semesters are difficult, and we cannot pass easily, but it is possible to pass. The passing percentage is 40 percent.

Worth it for a UG degree. The main campus is scenic and beautiful. Warm college life.
Placements: The placement cell is available, but they prefer students to seek placements off-campus. In my ECE field, about 50 percent of students are placed, while many opt for higher studies. There aren't many big companies in ECE. When it comes to placements, we mostly consider off-campus opportunities or pursuing higher studies, as the degree from here is valuable. The top roles offered in my course are in teaching and non-teaching positions.
Infrastructure: The hostel is worth it, but the mess is average. The lab is average; the faculty is good, but the instruments are somewhat limited. The lab faculty are friendly, but it's better to avoid group experiments and go for self-revision during experiments. Wi-Fi is available in the laboratory and classrooms for free—just need to get your college ID and follow some simple steps. However, the speed is average.
Faculty: Teachers are average. Don't be fully dependent fully on proof. They conduct teaching, 2 midterms (theory), 1 lab mid-term, end sem lab, and end sem examination. Teachers are well qualified. Somewhat we have to study from online and library books, but teachers direct us well. Semester exams are above average in difficulty. To pass exams minimum of 40% marks are required, (internal and end sem).
Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to do a UG degree. Faculty members should be improved somewhat.

There is no widespread information suggesting NEHU has stopped offering most B.Sc courses like Botany and Zoology. It's best to check the official NEHU website's the latest prospectus or contact their admissions department directly for the most accurate information on current course availability.
