NEHU Shillong: B.A. LL.B. course, hostel, campus, and university Review.
Placements: The total strength of our class is 67 at the time of admission. Although the Law department does not offer any placements, other technical departments do. The university does not offer internships. Top roles offered in my course include the position of Chief Justice of India or the Attorney General of India.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure has both good and bad sides. Wi-Fi is available all around the campus. There are labs installed. Classrooms are decent. The library has more than 2 lakh books. The hostel mess food is mediocre. Sports and games infrastructure is good. Basic amenities, like drinking water and tap water, need improvement. The mess food needs to be improved or should be run by the government instead of private contractors. The curriculum should be updated to keep up with the changing times.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified and teach well, but the curriculum is old and needs to be updated. Semester exams are not very difficult, but faculty members are very strict or stringent in giving marks. The marking system needs to change in NEHU. Digitalization should be adopted for efficiency.
Other: I choose to pursue B.A. LL.B. because I want to become an advocate and gain legal knowledge. The ultimate fest in NEHU is called Varsity. However, many events and programs happen every year. If you want to stay disease-free and healthy, the environment and climate are the best here. Overall, I give my university 3.5 out of 5.

Good enough for Bachelor degree of Law.
Placements: For the department of law there has never been any placement to the best of my knowledge. After completion of course students either start practicing in courts, go for higher studies or give other competitive exams. No form of placement available for law department. Students go for internships from college to either Court of law or NGOs for law department, some are suggested by professors. Stipend varies from firm to firm.
Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure for sale department, high tech compare laboratory, fully equipped library with many books (both national and international authors) Well created moot Court for students to practice. Proper classrooms with proper desks, chairs, green boards and the availability of presentation rooms. Super fast Wi-Fi for each and ever student. Hostel rooms are satisfactory however the food is below average in the hostel mess. The food of canteens are somewhat acceptable. Some canteens offer better food than others for an increased price. Bathrooms in the entire University need to be improved in the matter of cleanliness.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, highly qualified and knowledgeable. Although some teachers although qualified were not able to get the attention of the students. Teaching methods include seminars, presentations, moot Court, normal class lectures and provides important notes. I did not get industry exposure in class. For exposure we did internships. The course curriculum is up to the mark and very useful in the present am scenario if the nation.
Other: A school fest happens every year for 3 to 4 weeks. This will include sports and literary events for students to participate and showcase their talents.

    North Eastern Hill University Review
Placements: Percentage of students placed was not that high, but as placements were conducted through CUET, so yes. No package since the university doesn’t provide them. No companies come because there are hardly any placement opportunities. Companies coming to the college is a once in a blue moon thing. Internships are done personally by the students, as in the law department. No roles as such, it is overrated.
Infrastructure: Buildings are of old architecture and no modern amenities are available. The buildings are weak and seepage is bad. Toilets are not up to the mark with no water most of the time. Classrooms are not in good condition. On rainy days, we suffer leakage from the terrace. Hostel experience is below average with the same problems. Food quality is bad, but the rooms are big enough.
Faculty: Faculty members are not that good; most of them don’t take classes. The research scholars take our classes. They are very lenient, with favouritism and discrimination. But overall, the behaviour is good. Yes, the core curriculum is relevant. The semester exams are easy to medium and sometimes tough, but marks are not given adequately.

Nehru does't care about the student.
Placements: We had to secure 50% even though passing marks is 40 if not degrees were not given. There is no fixed salary in our line. Some can practice the law in courts while others can achieve higher education in the subject. No job offers were ever given there.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, but our department had many empty unused spaces while other departments are congested and lack spaces. Building quality is very average and maintenance should be done regularly especially in the bathrooms, some do not even function.
Faculty: Some teachers are good while others are very lazy, often take advantage of their status. Some don't take classes and would go on a long leave. Others just readout of the book and leave. Frankly, if we were to just read out of books we would not need to pay for colleges.
    Other: Varsity programme per year.

The college has a good environment and faculty members.
Placements: Teaching is a popular field for criminal lawyers and nodal offices are also common, such as divorce lawyers, advocates, judges, corporate councils, legal consultants, civil servants, judicial officers, legal publishing and media, cyber law, and legal analysts.
Infrastructure: The college has a refreshing environment. There are reasonable prices for food in the canteen. We have a good infrastructure. The campus is huge with a pond to sit by, and easy availability of transportation. It also provides buses but the only downside is that it is located in the outskirts of the city.
Faculty: Teachers are regular and qualified. It depends on your interest and if you make time to research on your own. They are always open to asking your doubts. The semester gets tougher each semester, from the 6th semester, every paper is a law paper. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: As it is a flourishing field and knowledgeable. It is the best to know about our rights and wrongs. More practical would be nice and the campus life is overall good.

There is no widespread information suggesting NEHU has stopped offering most B.Sc courses like Botany and Zoology. It's best to check the official NEHU website's the latest prospectus or contact their admissions department directly for the most accurate information on current course availability.
