NERIST Entrance Exam Pattern 2026: The exam body prescribes the NEE exam pattern and uploads it on its website. Candidates can check here the NERIST NEE 2026 exam pattern to know about the time duration, marking scheme, topics, and sections of the exam. For every wrong answer to a question, 25% of the marks carried by that question will be deducted. There is no deduction of marks for un-attempted questions. The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is conducted as a pen and paper-based test. The duration of each NERIST entrance exam is 3 hours.

As the test is conducted for separate exams such as NEE-I, NEE-II, and NEE-III, the pattern of the same differs. Aspirants can check the exam pattern of NEE 2026 for all three entrance exams here. According to the exam pattern, the question paper is an objective type with multiple-choice answers. Candidates shall attempt all questions from all the sections of their particular exam. For NEE-II (BTech courses) questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. 35 questions come from Physics, 35 questions come from Chemistry and 45 questions ae asked from Mathematics. On the other hand for the NEE-II (BSc H Forestry courses) questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. 35 questions come from Physics, 35 questions come from Chemistry and 30questions ae asked from Mathematics.

In NEE-III exam questions come from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Bracnch subject that the candidate has selected. 35 questions come from Physics, 35 questions from Chemistry, 30 questions come from Maths and 55 questions are branch specific.

A: 

In NEE-I questuons are asked from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The full marks in NEE-I paper is 150. 35 questions are asked from Phyics, 35 quesytions from chemistry and 55 questions come from Maths.

NERIST NEE 2026 Marking Scheme

There is a negative marking policy in the NEE exam pattern, check below:

  • For every correct answer, 1 mark will be added to the total score of the candidate.
  • For every incorrect response, 0.25 or ¼ marks will be deducted from the total score candidate.
  • No marks will be deducted from the total score of a candidate for not attempting a question.
