Oriental University provides an option of lateral entry admission to its BTech programmes. The duration of this course is three years as the candidates are admitted directly to the second year (third semester) of the BTech programme. To be eligible for lateral entry admission for the BTech programme offered at the university, applicants must have passed a three-year Diploma or a BSc degree from a university recognised by the UGC. The applicants must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

Yes, BTech aspirants at Oriental University can avail a fee rebate under OU-Aspire scholarship provided by the university. The merit-based scholarships at Oriental University are awared to the BTech students based on their merit in JEE Main or HSC. Based on the information available on the university's official website, an applicant with a JEE (Main) rank under 5 Lacs is eligible for a fee rebate under Criteria 1 of OU-Aspire scholarship. If the candidate is pursuing BTech in a stream other than CSE, their annual fee will be reduced from INR 40,000 to INR 32,500. For students pursuing BTech in CSE, the fee amount will be reduced from INR 75,000 to INR 60,000. The mentioned information is subject to change and hence, is indicative.
