Osmania University Course Admissions 2025: Courses, Eligibility, Fee, Selection Process

Osmania University offers postgraduate programmes in the areas of arts, commerce, science, education, law, mass communication, and more. These programmes include the MA, M.Com, M.Sc, Integrated M.Sc, MSW, M.Ed, MCJ, LLM, M.Li.Sc, M.P.Ed. Graduation is the primary requirement for admission to Osmania University's postgraduate programme. For entry into MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MSW, or M.Li.Sc programmes, applicants must have completed their undergraduate degrees in the respective discipline with a minimum cumulative GPA of 40%. Admission to the MA, M.Sc., M.Com, M.Ed, M.P.Ed, MCJ, MSW, M.Li.Sc., and LL.M. programmes is contingent on passing the university's OUCET exam.

Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) is a state-level entrance test conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) for admission to the BE, BTech, BPharm, PharmD, BSc, BFSc, and BVSc courses. 

Common University Entrance Test, popularly known by its acronym CUET, is a National level test which is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) . Many institutions have standardised its scores as a pre-requisit to enter into the college . colleges reveal their own cutoffs for different programs and different departments . The cutoff strictly depends upon the compition in that particular programme . Colleges have started declaring thier cutoffs for different programs on their College Website .  Osmania has started to unveil the cutoffs for different programs but it is yes to reveal the cutoffs for B.Sc programme . 

After qualifying for the exam one has to check the cutoff for a particular college and a particular course. After checking for the particular course one has to apply for counseling and after counseling one can pay the fees. For, clearing the exam the cutoff was 25 percent and to become eligible score the candidate must score a minimum of 50 marks for the general category. The SC/ST candidates are eligible at 20 marks out of 200 and they can apply for counseling after that and they can also secure their seats by paying the fees. The minimum score for OBC Category was 25.

Osmania University accepts APEdCET scores for admission to the B.Ed course. As per APEdCET cutoff 2022 for BEd stood at 942 for Osmania University for the General category All India candidates. IT will all depend on the university cutoff that is released every year after the common entrance test is conducted. The qualifying stfudents will be eligible to apply for the counselling process and the merit list will be released accordingly based on the rank and the number of seats available for the particular course.

To begin with, one must first qualify the exam and then check for the cutoffs. The cutoff is different for various students; cutoff for  a general category student was 25%, talking in scores, it will be 50 marks out of 200, where as for a SC/ST student it was 10%, that is, the student must score atleast 20 marks out of 200 and for an OBC student, the required score was 25 out of 200 which is 12.5% of the total, in order to be eligible to take admission into the institution .
