To get admission in Osmania University, candidates are eligible for their desired courses if they satisfy the required eligibility criteria for the same course and excel in entrance exams conducted for such courses. To begin with, one must first qualify the exam and then check for the cutoffs. The cutoff is different for various students; cutoff for  a general category student was 25%, talking in scores, it will be 50 marks out of 200, where as for a SC/ST student it was 10%, that is, the student must score atleast 20 marks out of 200 and for an OBC student, the required score was 25 out of 200 which is 12.5% of the total, in order to be eligible to take admission into the institution .

The total fees includes various components, such as the tuition fee, admission fee, application fee, etc. The tuition fee ranges from INR 32,500 to INR 3.1 lakh.

Osmania University offers postgraduate programmes in the areas of arts, commerce, science, education, law, mass communication, and more. These programmes include the MA, M.Com, M.Sc, Integrated M.Sc, MSW, M.Ed, MCJ, LLM, M.Li.Sc, M.P.Ed. Graduation is the primary requirement for admission to Osmania University's postgraduate programme. For entry into MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MSW, or M.Li.Sc programmes, applicants must have completed their undergraduate degrees in the respective discipline with a minimum cumulative GPA of 40%. Admission to the MA, M.Sc., M.Com, M.Ed, M.P.Ed, MCJ, MSW, M.Li.Sc., and LL.M. programmes is contingent on passing the university's OUCET exam.

SC/ST, LBC, EBC scholarships are awarded and also available for the students at University College of Science, Osmania University joining post-graduate PG programmes, subject to certain terms & conditions. The Government of Telangana will soon announce the eligibility requirement, modalities for uploading the required certificates & forms.

All Osmania University students have to strictly follow the instructions given by the Government for the sanction of Scholarships. Students are advised to be in touch with the Scholarship Section of the office of the Principal. There is also Osmania University Post - Matric Scholarships provided to the SC students.

After qualifying for the exam one has to check the cutoff for a particular college and a particular course. After checking for the particular course one has to apply for counseling and after counseling one can pay the fees. For, clearing the exam the cutoff was 25 percent and to become eligible score the candidate must score a minimum of 50 marks for the general category. The SC/ST candidates are eligible at 20 marks out of 200 and they can apply for counseling after that and they can also secure their seats by paying the fees. Yes, an average student may get admission in Osmania University. The university offers various UG, PG, and Diploma-level programmes. University College of Science, Osmania University offers courses across different domains, and different programs . Every year students give entrance exams by studying hard and rigrously spending time solving questions just to get into such a university . This university offers 751 seats across all programs which then gets sub-divided among the departments and programs in order to ensure justice with every domain of study  . It usually varies  between 80 to 120 and depending upon the circumstances that may influence the seats.

Osmania University TS EAMCET cutoff 2025 for the BTech CSE branch ranged from 1221 to 30353 for the General AI category. As per this range, the hardest college for admission was the University College of Engineering, Osmania University, with the cutoff of 1221 in the first round and 1622 in the last round.

CUET is a national level exam for enrollment in different universities across India, in different fields of education and for various degress. Colleges participating in CUET have started unvieling the cutoffs on their college website (for different fields). As of now Osmania University is also unvieling there cutoffs, steadily, but they are yet to disclose the cutoff for B.Sc. It will be published soon on thier college website.

Common University Entrance Test, popularly known by its acronym CUET, is a National level test which is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) . Many institutions have standardised its scores as a pre-requisit to enter into the college . colleges reveal their own cutoffs for different programs and different departments . Osmania University is a reputed university that was ranked 22 and 46 under 'University' and 'Overall' categories by the NIRF 2022, respectively.
