What is CPGET (OUCET)?

CPGET is a humanities entrance exam conducted for admission into different PG, PG Diploma, and five-year integrated courses in Telangana. CPGET is a very competitive exam, as more than 70000 students register for this exam every year compared to the total seat capacity. 

CPGET participating universities are Kakatiya University, Telangana University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Palamuru University, Satavahana University, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and Telangana Mahila Visvavidyalayam.

Before filling the CPGET application form, candidates must check the eligibility criteria:

Eligibility Criteria

Faculty of Arts

Candidates must have at least 40% marks or an equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination. For SC/ST candidates, passing marks are sufficient. Candidates who passed compartmentally with the required marks/CGPA are also eligible.

Faculty of Social Sciences

Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination. For SC/ST candidates, only passing marks are required. Candidates who passed compartmentally and meet the required marks/CGPA can also apply.

Faculty of Commerce

Any graduate candidate is eligible to appear for the exam.

Faculty of Education

For M.Ed, candidates must have a B.Ed degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/BC candidates) or equivalent CGPA. For M.P.Ed, candidates must have a B.P.Ed degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/BC candidates).

Faculty of Science

Candidates must have at least 40% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination. For SC/ST candidates, passing marks are sufficient. Candidates who passed compartmentally and meet the required marks/CGPA are also eligible.

The CPGET application fee is fixed for different categories. You can make the payment using debit card or internet banking. There is also a late fee of INR 500 and INR 2000 if you send the CPGET form after the last date.

  • On the application menu, click on "Application Fee Payment"

CPGET Counselling Process 2026

In addition to being qualified at the Common Entrance Test, a candidate will be eligible for admission only if he/ she passes the qualifying examination before the commencement of admissions process and secure the prescribed minimum marks in the subject (s)/ course (s) concerned. He/ She must submit the necessary documents listed under item VII of these instructions at the time of counseling.
