CPGET Application Form 2025 will be available from today, June 18, 2025 at the Osmania University's official CPGET portals - cpget.tsche.ac.in and cpget.ouadmissions.com/. To fill out the application form, students must ensure that they fulfil the CPGET eligibility criteria. Last date to fill CPGET 2025 application form is July 28, 2025 (with late fee). Q:   When will CPGET 2025 application form release?
A: 

CPGET 2025 registration form is likely to be released in May/ June 2025. Aspirants will have to apply online on Osmania University's official website. While filling the form, they will be required to provide personal details, contact details and academic details. The application fee is also to be paid online after filling the form.

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria to apply for the CPGET exam?
A: 

In order to be eligible for admission into a course, the candidate 

  1. Must have passed the Qualifying Examination and secured the prescribed Minimum Marks in the subject (s) /course (s) concerned as mentioned in the Information Brochure, and
  2. Must have qualified in Common P G Entrance Test conducted in the concerned subject in which admission is sought.
    For administrative reasons, the Convenor may, conduct the entrance test before the publication of the results of the
    qualifying examination concerned. But qualifying at the Entrance Test alone does not confer any right of admission into
    a course. In addition to being qualified at the Common Entrance Test, a candidate will be eligible for admission only if
    he/she passes the qualifying examination before the commencement of admissions process and secure the prescribed
    minimum marks in the subject (s) / course (s) concerned. He / She must submit the necessary documents listed under
    item VII of these instructions at the time of counseling.
Q:   When is CPGET hall ticket released?
A: 

The Hall Tickets along with entrance schedules and necessary instructions are released on CPGET official websites ahead of the entrance tests. The candidates are supposed to download the Hall Tickets and affix a the latest passport size photograph (which is exactly similar to the one uploaded in the Online Application) in the space provided and get itself attested. Without the Hall Ticket (with self attested photograph), the candidate are not allowed to appear for entrance test. 

Q:   What are the exam centres for CPGET?
A: 

The exam centres for CPGET will be announced at the official website of the exam soon. Meanwhile, candidates can check the previous years' CPGET exam centres below:

How to apply for CPGET 2025?

There are four steps to the CPGET application process - 

  • Registration
  • Fee payment
  • Uploading of documents
  • Filling out the application form

Stage 1: Registration

To apply for CPGET 2025, students must log in to the CPGET website. or visit: https://www.ouadmissions.com/doa/

After logging in, students must click on the ‘apply online’ tab. Students must fill the registration form with correct information and not leave any field marked mandatory vacant. 

A candidate can apply for up to four subjects through one form but they will have to pay fees for each additional subject.

Stage 2: Payment of Registration Fee

A registration ID will be created and shared with the students upon successful registration. Using that login ID the students can pay the fee, upload relevant documents and fill out the application form. The students can submit the registration fee to any TS/ AP online centres or make online payments via credit cards/ debit cards or net banking. The category-wise CPGET application fee is mentioned below:

The students must check all the information before hitting the save/ submit key. Students are advised to not miss uploading the relevant documents in their specific fields. Incomplete forms will be rejected. A copy of the duly filled form must be saved for future reference.

CPGET 2025 Application: Late Fee

The CPGET 2025 application form submission last date in July 17, 2025. After that the forms will be accepted with late fee. Check below for the late fee amount to be paid according to deadline.

Q:   When will CPGET exam be held?
A: 

Osmania University has not annnounced the CPGET 2025 schedule yet. However, based on the past dates, it can be guessed that the exam will be conducted in the first two weeks of July 2025. 

Q:   Can I get my CPGET admission fee reimbursed?
A: 

The reimbursement of fee/scholarship is allowed only for those who pursue a PG Programme for the 1st time. For those who have already pursued any PG Courses (Professional or Non-Professional) will not be provided hostel accommodation in the University/College hostels and will not be considered for any type of scholarship whatsoever, as per GOs in force. As per Govt. of T.S. Social Welfare (Edn) Dpartment Memo the fee/scholarship reimbursement is not allowed to such candidates. Further, the maximum age for the candidates to become eligible for fee/scholarship reimbursement is as per the Government of Telangana rules in force.

Q:   What is the admission process of CPGET?
A: 

Admissions are conducted through a process of web based counseling. The schedule for certificate verification has been announced at the official website of the exam. Before allotment of admissions, the qualified and eligible candidates have to exercise options through web in the order of their preference. If the admitted candidates in each course should be found less than 10 after the second web options than that course will be cancelled for that academic year. 

Q:   What is the reservation policy for SC, ST and BC candidates in CPGET exam?
A: 

The reservation policy for SC, ST and BC candidates in CPGET exam are as follows: 
Of the total number of seats available in each subject/course, following is the schedule of reservation of seats for these categories.

Checking the CPGET 2025 Application Fee Payment Status

Once applicants have filled the CPGET application form and paid the application fee, they can check the payment status online. Once the payment is done, students will receive a reference ID. The steps to check the payment status are mentioned below. 

  • Visit CPGET's official website.
  • Click on the ‘Check Application Fee Payment Status’ option.
  • Enter the ‘Qualifying Examination’ hall ticket number and mobile number.

A: 

No, the CPGET application form is only available online. Aspirants must visit the websites - cpget.tsche.ac.in to fill the application form once it is released by the exam body, Osmania University. 

Q:   What are the chances of CPGET exam getting cancelled?
A: 

There are no chances of CPGET getting cancelled. It is conducted annually for admissions to Osmania University and other participating universities. However, if the number of applications for a particular course are low, the entrance test for that course may be cancelled. 

Q:   What is the CPGET eligibility for admission to M.P.Ed course?
A: 

Aspirants applying for CPGET to get admission to the M.P.Ed. course must have a B.P.Ed. degree with at least 55% marks in the finals. SC, ST and BC candidates need at least 50% marks in the same course.

CPGET Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria (Arts)

For all the courses under the Faculty of Arts, the students must have secured the following percentage of marks or CGPA in their Qualifying Examination:

  • Students should have passed the Qualifying Examination with not less than 40% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • A pass in the Qualifying Examination is sufficient for SC/ST candidates.
  • The candidates passing the examination compartmentally and securing the required percentage of marks or equivalent CGPA are also eligible.
  • All the courses have a duration of two years.

Q:   Can I edit my CPGET application form?
A: 

Yes, Osmania University provides an application correction window for applicants after the last date of filling the CPGET application form. Applicants cannot change primary information like name, parents' names, etc. However, they can make changes to the rest of the application form and edit exam centre choices, courses preferences, etc.

Q:   How do I find my CPGET rank?
A: 

The ranks of individual students will be mentioned on their CPGET rank cards. They can download it from the exam's official website when the results are declared. 

Q:   I have applied for the MSc Applied Geochemistry programme through CPGET. Which participating university will I get admission to?
A: 

Out of the many CPGET participating universities, Osmania, Kakatiya and Mahatma Gandhi Universities offer MSc Applied Geochemistry. If applicants pass CPGET, they can secure a seat to either of these universities.

Q:   Is there any tie-breaking system in CPGET exam?
A: 

Yes, if two or more candidates obtain the same marks in CPGET, a tie-breaking policy is used. There are several factors considered to break a tie. These factors include - marks secured in part-A of the test, the candidates' ages (older candidates are preferred) and the percentage of marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying exam. 

Q:   How do I edit my CPGET application form?
A: 

Once the last date to fill the CPGET application form has passed, the exam body will provide students with an application correction. Applicants can follow the steps provided below to edit their applications - 

Step 1. Visit the official website, cpget.tsche.ac.in.

Step 2. Click on the “CPGET Application Correction” link on the page.

Step 3. Enter login credentials.

Step 4. Click on the edit window and make changes.

Step 5. Go through the details once again. 

Step 6. Click on the “Submit” button.

Step 7. In the next step, download the confirmation page for future reference.

For all the Courses under the Faculty of Social Sciences, the students must have secured the following percentage of marks or CGPA in their Qualifying Examination:

  • Candidates should have passed the Qualifying Examination with no less than 40% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Q:   What is CPGET pattern?
A: 

The CPGET is an entrance exam conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad, for admissions to various Postgraduate (PG) courses in the colleges which are affiliated to it. 

It is CBT based test for a duration of 90 minutes. There are total 100 questions in exam and each question carry 1 mark. There is no negative Marking. Exam Pattern will be in English.

Exam contains 25 questions of General Knowledge and remaining 75 questions are Subject Specific in Nature. 

Q:   Can I get admission to MSc at Madina Degree and PG College for Women without CPGET?
A: 

Candidates cannot apply for the MSc programme at Madina Degree and PG College for Women without CPGET. The college accepts CPGET score for admission to MSc courses. To be eligible for admission candidates are required to score a good aggregate in CPGET entrance exam accepted by the college. Further, candidates are also required to complete the basic eligiblity criteria set by the college.

Q:   I have a full-time job, can I get admission to a part-time programme through CPGET?
A: 

No, aspirants who are full-time employees are not eligible to apply for CPGET. If someone with a full-time job wishes to enrol to a PG programme offered at Osmania or any other participating university, they must resign or be on leave for the entire duration of the programme.  

Q:   Do I need to paste a photograph on my CPGET rank card for counselling?
A: 

Yes, candidates must paste a passport-sized photograph (same as the one used on the application form) for the document verification process during the CPGET counselling process. 

Q:   What are the web options for CPGET counselling?
A: 

Before the CPGET counselling, candidates who have passed the qualifying exam can exercise web options. During this stage of the admission process, candidates must enter the preferences of courses and participating institutes. This is followed by the document verification process where candidates have to produce several important documents including CPGET results and rank cards.

Q:   When will CPGET 2025 counselling process take place?
A: 

Based on the past cycles of the exam, it can be predicted that the CPGET 2025 counselling will be held in late August 2025 and the following months. The counselling process will take place in several phases. A separate allotment list will be published by the university for each phase. Examinees must keep checking Osmania University's website for the counselling schedule once the results are declared.

Q:   What all documents do I need for CPGET counselling?
A: 

Candidates who are to appear for CPGET counselling must produce the following documents.

A: 

For General and OBC category candidates, the CPGET counselling registration fee is INR 200 while SC, ST and PH candidates have to pay INR 150.

Q:   How long should I preserve my CPGET Hall Ticket?
A: 

In addition to the entrance exam day, the CPGET hall ticket is also required during the document verification process. For the entrance exam, examinees must affix a passport sized photo (same as the one used in the application form) to their CPGET hall tickets and carry a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driver's License, Voter ID) along with it. During document verification, a cope of the admit card must be produced along with other documents like the CPGET Rank Card.

Q:   What is the registration fee payment process for CPGET?
A: 

For registration, the candidates have to visit the websites Website. The registration is complete only when the candidates enter the required primary information including the number of entrance tests to be taken and the requisite registration fee is paid. The registration fee may be paid at any T.S./A.P. online centres or by using Credit / Debit Cards or by Net Banking. Once the registration is completed successfully, the candidate will receive a Registration ID, which should be preserved by the candidate for logging in to fill the online application and for future use, if any. 

Q:   What is the reservation policy for women candidates in CPGET exam?
A: 

Wherever applicable, a minimum of 33.33% of the available seats in each course will be allotted to women candidates from each category, i.e. Open, S.C., S.T. and in all the groups in BC category taking a subject in each college as a unit. This rule is not applicable (i) if women candidates selected on merit in each category form 33.33 % or more of the seats therein; and (ii) for seats under various special categories. In the absence of suitable women candidates in the respective categories, these seats shall be filled in with men candidates of the same category.

ii) The remaining 15% of the seats which are open to local and non -locals shall be filled up subject to similar reservation as applicable to 85% local candidates

The reservation policy for backward class and EWS candidates in CPGET exam are as follows:
