BSc admissions at Patna University take place through the Class 12 examination results. The university recognises both central and state examination boards while taking into account Class 12 results of candidates who have applied for the programme at the university. Candidates appearing for their Class 12 board exams can apply for admission into the programme once they have appeared for the exam.
