History
Patna University is among the oldest universities in India to be founded under British rule. Founded in 1917, Patna University Bihar is a public university and is the 7th oldest public university in the Indian subcontinent. The University operates as a state university under the Government of Bihar. Because of its historical foundation, University of Patna takes on the relevance of heritage.

The Patna University, Patna campus is located in the city of Bihar capital in Patna and covers an area of 181.58 acres. The location of the campus is on the banks of the Ganges river. The area was strategically selected for the growth of students by the then British authorities. (1) To enroll in the B.Sc. Computer Application Course, a student must have completed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a grade of at least a 2.

In order to be eligible for admission to this vocational course, a student must meet the following requirements: (a) pass the intermediate exam of the board, university, established or incorporated by law; (b) complete a 12-year course of the Central or State Board; (c) complete the 10+2 System or an equivalent recognised by Patna University; and (d) receive at least 55% of the possible points in aggregate for general applicants or other categories of applicants; candidates from SC, ST, and BC must receive 45% of the total.
