The last date for submiiting online applications has not been released by the university yet. However,  BSc admissions at PMU are expected to continue till August.

Yes, BSc is available at PMU is various specialisations. These specialisations include BSc in Computer Science, BSc in Data Science, BSc in Animation and Multimedia, etc. To be eligible to apply for admission to these courses, a candidate must have passed Class 12 with relevant subjects. The duration of PMU BSc courses is three years. The tuition fee for the course ranges between  INR 62,000 and INR 1.8 Lakh. The mentioned fee has been sourced from the official website of the university/sanctioning body. It is still subject to change and hence, is indicative.

Periyar Maniammai University students are eligible to apply for scholarships under various categories. Some of the PMU scholarships are Merit Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, Farmers & Weavers Scholarship, Alumni Scholarship, etc. Students can apply for these scholarships while filling out the registration form for course admission. The scholarships are awarded to the students of UG courses like BSc, BCom and BA based on their performance in Class 12. The sanctioned scholarship will be given throughout the programme subject to the fulfilment of the condition that the student has passed all the semester exams and has a minimum of 80% attendance in the previous academic year.

The eligibility criteria for BTech admission at PMU require candidates to have scored at least 45% in the three compulsory subjects in Class 12. These subjects are Physics, Mathematics, and any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject. Hence, scoring 50% in Class 12 does not make a candidate eligible to apply for PMU BTech admission. They must have studied the three compulsory subjects in Class 12 and scored more than the minimum required aggregate.

The curriculum of BSc in Computer Science at PMU is spread over three years. Each year is divided into two semesters. In each semester, students have to study a combination of core and elective subjects. These subjects carry certain credit points. Periyar Maniammai University offers scholarships as financial assistance to meritorious students. Scholarship are disbursed to students as per the following criteria:

• Based on their marks scored in Class 12 and in JEE or equivalent or PMIST Entrance Test for BTech programmes (Up to INR 1.8 lakh).
• For the BCom, BA, BBA, B.Ed and BSc programmes, the scholarship will be based on Class 12 marks and the PMIST Entrance Test (Up to INR 15,000).
• The sanctioned scholarship will be offered to students throughout the programme subject to the conditions that they have a minimum of 80% attendance in the previous academic year.

Yes, PMIST (formerly knows as PMU) reserves 5% of the total BTech seats for candidates belonging to NRI category. Additionally, the university reserves 15% of the seats over and above the approved intake (Supernumerary Seats) are reserved for Foreign Nationals/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries.

The fees is different for different courses B.Tech courses 1lakh 40000 per year  and security money at the time of admission is 10000 rs.

For MBA courses the fees is 2 Lacs per year and security. Money is 20000 .

For other courses such as bsc  in pcm or pcb is 50000 per year.

For B.Sc in agriculture is around 80000 per year and security fees is 10000 rs.

For barchar courses it is around 1 Lacs 90000 per year .

For animation courses the Diploma courses in animation fees is around 1lakh 20000 per year.

For biotech courses B.Sc biotechnology or other life Science course the fees is around 90000 per year.

The University has successfully concluded the 2023 placements. A total of 678 students registered for the 2023 drive, out of which 581 were successfully placed. Further,  68 companies participated and distributed over 798 job offers. The the highest package and average package offered during Periyar Maniammai University placements 2023 were INR 6 LPA and INR 2.50 LPA, respectively. TCS, DAIKIN, Hexaware Technologies, and many other leading companies participated in PMIST placements 2023.
