I am dam sure there nothing I got it from this university except self learning.

Placements: There is no specific food industry or company where the students have no placement in them. More over the placement provided here is for medical coding jobs and so on. No hospital placement too students alone have to go in search of jobs here for the department of food Science and nutrition.

Infrastructure: Lab facilities are not up to the mark. Even though instruments are being present it is given only for scholars for M.Sc. the instruments will not work properly. Classroom facilities chairs are not so comfortably placed. Wi fi availability for students is very rare staff people are very busy in talking in their phone.

Faculty: Teachers are having their qualifications but no one in the department will work up to the mark. Usually they download a PPT form online n teach it When it comes to students they expect more which they have to do. In fact the work of teachers is being done by students.

Other: No events will be known to the other department students it will be done in themselves and get over. No functions of traditional day, campus celebrations except onum.

Is there any distance education course for food technology and is it possible to join right now?

It's very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your PG in food technology. If it's MTech then it will not be allowed to be offered by distance education since UGC has disallowed distance education mode for all professional courses. However, if it's MSc then you can think of it.

No. M.Sc Food Science is not available through Distance education mode in Periyar University. It is available Only through Regular Education in Periyar University. And also, remember one thing, Doing PG courses like Food Science, Nutrition, etc. If possible, it is always advisable to do it in regula
