The Panjab University will release the PU LLB Entrance Exam 2026 Result soon after the exam is over. The PU LLB Entrance Exam  is likely to be conducted in April 2026. The candidates who appeared in the exam will be able to check the result at puchd.ac.in. Candidates will have to use their login credentials to check their scorecards. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to check their qualifying status in the PU LLB entrance exam 2026

  1. Visit  puchd.ac.in 
  2. Click on the Result link available on the left panel of the page
  3. Click on the PU LLB result link 
  4. On the login page, enter roll number
  5. Click on the Show Result button
  6. The result page will appear on the screen mentioning details of scores obtained in each section, overall scores, and rank as per the category

Candidates can download the result cum rank card and get printouts to be used at the time of the admission process.

PU LLB Result 2026: Tie-Breaking Method

If two or more candidates secure the same marks/rank in the entrance exam conducted for PU LLB admissions then tie-break in such a scenario would be done as per the below-mentioned criteria:

  • The candidate getting a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, that is, the Bachelor’s degree is ranked higher in order of merit.
  • If the tie still remains then the candidate who has secured a higher percentage of marks in the immediate lower exam shall rank higher in order of merit.
  • If the tie still remains then the candidate who is older in age is ranked higher in order of merit.

The LLB entrance exam was conducted by the Panjab University for admission to three-year LLB courses offered at colleges as under: 

PU LLB Result 2026: Minimum Qualifying Criteria

Since there are limited seats for admission to the three-year LLB course offered at PU colleges. Therefore, the university has set minimum qualifying criteria for PU LLB entrance exam so that candidates can be shortlisted for final admission. To secure a rank in the merit list, candidates should ensure meeting the cut off marks as under:

The exam is taken for 100 questions which taken in 2 hours and total of 400 marks. Must mention their language choice in the OMR sheet. Since every wrong answer carries a negative marking of -0.25. Merit is calculated taking 50% of the class +2 percentage including weightages and 50% of the UGLAW Entrance test marks.  You can, in private colleges you can get admission very easily. The Fee for PGLAW Entrance Test is 2100/- rupees and  1050/- rupees for SC/ST/PwD.

The PU LLB 2026 admission process after the results are as mentioned below:

  • PU LLB counselling: The number of candidates invited for the counselling will be more than the number of seats available in every category. The Panjab University will upload the list of eligible candidates on its website before the start of counselling registration.
  • PU LLB cutoff: The University will release it online at the time of seat allotment. It is the minimum marks/rank that aspirants need to secure in order to get admission to Panjab University law programmes.
