PU LLB Eligibility Criteria 2026: Basic Requirements
The Panjab University takes admission to its 5-year BA LLB/ B.Com LLB and 3-year LLB courses on the basis of PU UGLAW and PU CET Law Entrance test.

PU LLB Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria: For 5 Year Integrated LLB Program
The eligibility criteria for the 5-year Integrated LLB courses at Panjab University are
- The candidate must have passed 12th from a recognized board.
- Scored a minimum of 45% in the 10+2.
- There is no age limit
PU LLB Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria: For 3 Year LLB Program
The eligibility criteria for the 3-year LLB course are
- The candidate should have passed a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized university
- Should have scored at least 45% marks (5% relaxation for reserved categories).
- Candidates of any age can apply; there is no age limit as such provided by the university.
PU LLB Reservation Criteria 2026
PU LLB Seat allotment to the different categories will be based on the Reservation criteria decided by the university. 50% seats will be allotted to the General category candidates in each course, and 46.5% of the seats to the reserved category students. Yes, students who are appearing for their Class 12 final year exams can apply for the PU UGLAW. However, their admission will be provisional.
The candidates who have qualified PU B.A. LLB or B.Com.LL.B. (Hons.) 5-Years Integrated Course Entrance Test-2025 and have passed 10+2 examination are eligible for admission to the courses for the session 2025.
The PU UGLAW 2025 tentative merit list will be published on the official website on June 25, 2025. Candidates can raise objections regarding tentative merit list on the basis of already filled up information by candidate until June 27, 2025.

PU LLB Application Form 2026
The PU LLB Entrance Exam Application form 2026 will be released in March-April 2026. The SC / ST / Backward Class / PwD category candidates need 10% marks and candidates from all other categories need 15% marks. The minimum qualifying marks for each category is based on the category-based reservation criterion. There will be total 100 question in the exam carrying 1 for mark each. Thus, SC / ST / Backward Class / PwD category candidates will have to achieve 10 marks to pass the PU UGLAW exam. However, General category candidates need 15 marks to qualify for the exam.
