Students must fulfill the below mentioned eligibilty criteria to be able to apply for VITLEEE 2026 exam:
- Must be Indian Nationals
- Candidates born on or after July 1, 2004
- Class 12 exam from recognised board. 70% aggregate marks (10% relaxation for SC/ST candidates and candidates from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

Each section carries 20 marks for VITLEEE 2026. There are five sections from which questions are asked in the exam. They are:

The Vellore Institute of Technology Law Entrance Examination (VITLEE) is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Law Programmes at VIT Chennai. VITLEE is conducted across 53 cities in India. It enrolls students in various undergraduate courses like; B.A. LLB, BBA L.L.B (Hons.), offered at the Chennai Campus.
To apply for VITLEEE 2026, students must have passed Class 12 exam from recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Math/Biology. Students must score 70% aggregate marks (10% relaxation for SC/ST candidates and candidates from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
Students should cover NCERT (Class 11 & 12) books to form a solid base for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, covering fundamental concepts. Apart from this, students can refer to Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma, Comprehensive Physics by V.K. Puri, Organic Chemistry by O.P. Tandon/Morrison Boyd, Objective Mathematics by R.D.
