Punjabi University Patiala PG Diploma Highlights 2025

Punjabi University is also offering a number of PG Diploma programmes to the students in a number of specialisations. Admission to all these programmes is given to the eligible candidates. For PG Diploma in Computer Maintenance and Networking (PGDCM) and PG Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA), admission is given based on merit scores at the graduation level. Moreover, a set weightage is assigned to NCC, NSS, Youth activities for A, B or C Certificates on marks obtained at the Graduation level.

Q: What is the hostel fee structure of Punjabi University Patiala?

Hostel fees for Engineering Hostels (I. e. Band Singh Bahadur, Mai Bhago Hostel & Bebe Nanki) is INR 920 per month whereas for other Hostels it is INR 420 per month. There are six residential Hostels for boys and seven residential Hostels for girls. The Hostels have all modern amenities for comfortable living for 4000 students. The hostels are given on a merit basis only. The students of low-income groups can be given free accommodation in the University Hostels. Residents of a hostel, where a cooperative mess is being run shall have to pay INR 5000 in advance as a mess bill. This amount is refundable/adjustable as and when the student leaves the hostel or the mess is closed permanently.

It is the best college if you want to pursue your bachelors and masters in budget.

Placements: I am from the current PGDCA batch. As of now, I haven't seen any reputed and famous company coming to our college for campus placements. But most of the students get jobs on their own. Students have to find internships themselves. Most of the students got jobs in reputed MNCs by cracking the interviews.

Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure of our college is okay. The buildings are too old and need repair, but the computer lab and library are in good condition. Every system works well and is in working condition. Washrooms, canteen and ground, need a lot of maintenance and repair.

Faculty: The faculty members in our college are really helpful, well qualified, knowledgeable and well experienced. Every single teacher has experience of more than 10 years. Teachers are very helpful, and they even clear our doubts and problems. When there are no classes, they provide resolutions on calls and WhatsApp.

Other: I chose to do the PGDCA course because I make it my foundational course so that I can choose my master's degree wisely. At present, I am not sure about my post-graduation, so I opted for this course so that it gives me knowledge about coding languages in brief. I wish it would be better if there were more coding languages which IT sector companies need now. At present, the syllabus is outdated and needs improvisation. The campus crowd is okay. Getting a scholarship is very easy because this college is under the government.

I am absolutely satisfied with the campus beauty and infrastructure.

Placements: I got placed in IGI Terminal-3 airport as a customer service agent with the help of our university, which made me capable enough to crack the interview. Moreover, the university provides good quality education by appointing experienced teachers and professors. The college offers a very safe environment for girls as well. Student life seems to be amazing within the campus, and students get a lot of entertainment and sports facilities. It got the award of number one university in sports and certified by NAAC with A+ grade.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty well built and maintained. Security of the campus is good. Security guards are available to stop other people coming to the college. E-rickshaw services are provided for students within the campus.

Faculty: Teachers in college are very helpful and cooperative. They are well qualified and joyful with more practical and theoretical knowledge about the domain and field. They have good communication skills, and they provide the same to the students, which help them to attain quality skills.

Placements: I was passes out in 2023 and 99% students are placed in job The highest package is taken by a student of 12lakh per annum The best college in our area and I will recommend everyone to study in desh bhagat college 90% of students got internship in this course .

Infrastructure: All the facilities are provided by college Well labs, well classroom, best teachers everything is best in the college yhe Greenery in the college which makes the college to look best. The hostel having Wi-Fi facility and good beds and everything is given.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful and qualified also maximum knowledge the were having. The syllabus is bit difficult but teachers are so nice they cleared us every single topic. Every teacher treated all the students same the had no discrimination in their mind.

Other: I choose yh course because I was interested in this best thing is this is practical course .

Placements: 70% of students were placed in this course. The minimum package for this course is INR 3–5 lacs per year. Recognising companies that hire from this course, are Tech Mahindra and other tech companies. If the student gets an internship, you must pass out with a percentage of 60%. After this course, you have a bright future.

Infrastructure: WiFi facilities are provided. Clean surroundings, the latest technology, and well-educated teachers are available. The environment at the university is welcoming. All the staff are very nice. Students have access to a park with a green environment. Practical projects are also provided.

Faculty: This course is very challenging; students must work hard, and teachers are very helpful. When you complete your course, you complete an internship. With an internship, you get a stipend. You get a true job market starting at INR 25,000 and going up to INR 3-5 lacs per year. You must take this course for a bright future and a successful life.
