No, candidates cannot join Ranchi University directly. It's only after fulfilling the eligibility criteria of the particular course they can get admission in to this university. Most courses are entrance based and hence, this will require the candidate to appear in that particular exam. Admission will be based on the cut-off margins of the scores obtained in the exam. The candidates are required to then submit application forms into the official portal of the University along with the exam scores. The seats are then alloted according to these applications and score evaluation.

There is no requirement for percentage of 12th for any course offered at Ranchi University that requires entrance exams. But courses that depend on previous exam merit may take 12th percentage into consideration. Candidates need to know the usual percentage cut-off in these cases. For admission in BA and B.com course its 10+2 with 45 to 50 perent marks and in B.BA  its just 45 percent in class 12 so there is no as such criteria of getting admission in Ranchi University with 60 percent. A student can take admission in multiple courses with evern 45 percent only. 

As per the Ranchi University's official website, CUET is accepted by the university for admission to its PG and UG courses.  As for the BSc porgramme, CUET is indeed required but as per the university's admission guidelines. However, candidates with a valid eligbility criteria is also admitted but  preference will be given to the CUET candidates. 

Eligibilty Criteria: Twelve years of school education with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

Yes, Ranchi University does release a merit list for UG admissions. Once the application window is closed, the admission committee reviews all the applications received and prepares a merit list based on CUET UG results. Applicants without a CUET UG score are reviewed based on Class 12 scores. Once the list is produced, it is released on the official website of the Chancellor's Portal.
