B.Tech. in Production and Industrial Engineering - Batch of 2029
Offered by National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology

NIAMT is a good government college with a quiet campus and good placements.
Placements: Production and industrial engineering placements and internship review. The placement percentage is about 90 percent and mostly all the students get placed. Not all of the students get placed in good companies; a good percentage of the students get placed in mass recruiter companies. The highest CTC is around 7.7 LPA and the lowest is around 3.6 LPA. The internship scenario is pretty bad as the only internships that students are doing are either in steel plants with no pay, and the only paid internship is from Hero, for which only a few are selected.
Infrastructure: The hostel for the first year is HJB and double occupancy, and for the rest of the 3 years, it is single occupancy rooms. The hostel is equipped with Wi-Fi only for laptops and doesn't have any website restrictions. There is a central library and large classrooms. The mess food quality is great and the taste is okish. There is a medical dispensary, and the college has major sports facilities and also supports sports culture, but no canteen.
Faculty: The teachers are all from IITs and help a lot, but personally, I don't understand what some teachers teach as they teach from PPTs. The course is heavily based on GATE as the college has a thriving GATE culture. A lot of the courses are made to learn industry skills, but you have to do the work yourself and a laptop is necessary. The semester exams are easy and mostly PYQ-based. All the people pass the exam, but there is a year-repeat rule: if your CGPA is not above 5, you will have to repeat that same year.
Other: I chose this branch because of my JEE Main rank, but I am satisfied with my branch as it gives me the flexibility of GATE and placements. I would improve the entrepreneurship culture and skill-based learning workshops. The main college event is called "Jinks," and the main sports event is "Sadbhavana," which also has esports, for now, mainly Free Fire and BGMI tournaments. The main scholarships are NSP, and other private ones are Reliance, SBI, and Aspire.

Affordable education at Ranchi Women's College.
Placements: Placements were very limited when I was in college. There were placements in different branches or courses in our college, but in our course, very few students got campus placements. All those who got placed either got placements through their own merit in off-campus placements or through their network.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi available in the college when I studied there. The infrastructure was quite good. There were hostel facilities for girls, and the fees were quite affordable. The food quality in the mess and canteen was also good enough to eat. There were medical and sports facilities as well.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and highly qualified. They had good knowledge of their subjects. Their teaching quality was also nice. The course curriculum was okay. It provided a good platform for students to learn and become industry-ready. Semester exams were not very hard, but I would say they were of a moderate level. The pass percentage was also good.

B.A. in English - Batch of 2028

The college experience is average, with an excellent English Department.
Placements: I am enrolled in the B.A. English Honors course for 2024–2028. I do not have information about placement percentage. I also do not have information about salary packages, recruiting companies, or internships for my course. So far, there has not been much placement support. Career guidance would be beneficial for us students.
Infrastructure: Facilities at B. S. College, Lohardaga, are average overall. The classroom facilities, library facilities, and Wi-Fi are average. Facilities in the English Department are quite good. They create a good study atmosphere. The hostel facilities need significant improvement, and the mess food is average. The medical facilities are good, while the sports facilities are average.
Faculty: Currently, I am a student of English Honors at B. S. College, Lohardaga. My experience with faculty has been average so far. Teaching quality is also average. Course includes English literature and language. Syllabus is academically helpful. More practical experience would benefit students. Career counselling would also be helpful. I am still a student. It is difficult to comment on the overall pass percentage.
Other: I chose it because I like the English language & literature. This subject helps me expand my knowledge and improves academic understanding. My experience at B. S. College, Lohardaga, is average so far. The English Department has good facilities, but the hostel facilities need improvement. Improvements in these areas would enhance my overall college experience.

B.A. in English Language and Literature - Batch of 2029
Offered by St. Xavier's College

Overall, a positive and balanced experience.
Placements: Around 60-75% of students get good placements. The highest package offered goes up to 6 LPA, the average package is 3.5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2.5 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Students also get internship opportunities. The top roles offered are Graduate Trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. The campus has well-maintained labs and three libraries with thousands of books from all genres. Wi-Fi is available with decent speed. Classrooms are clean. There are three cafeterias with affordable food. There is only a boys' hostel, and a gym is also available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and highly qualified, with many holding Ph.D. degrees. The teaching faculty is excellent, and professors clarify all doubts. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students well. The semester exams are a bit difficult, and 75% attendance is mandatory to sit for any exam.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in literature. The best thing about the college is the vibrant campus life, thousands of different events, sports competitions, festivals, and so many clubs to choose from. However, I wish the management would improve the processing speed of official documentation. The campus and crowd are diverse and helpful, with great connectivity.

Master of Commerce (M.Com.) - Batch of 2022

Good college experience. Facilities are pretty good. Course is explained in a better manner.
Placements: MBA, M.Com, and M.Sc are the top courses offered by my college. Other than this, we have all kinds of events as well as cultural programmes in our college. Everyone can participate and showcase their talents. The top companies are TCS, Wipro, etc. There are many students placed in reputed fields right now.
Infrastructure: The food is edible. The rooms are clean most of the time. The experience in my hostel is amazing as I get to interact and meet a lot of different individuals from different parts of India. Together, we live in peace. We have a stable Wi-Fi connection.
Faculty: The difficulty level is high but we are able to grasp the concept quickly and able to pass the exams. The professors are fully qualified and help me clear my doubts in a better way. The course gives information as well as builds confidence to work in a fast-paced environment.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty, but placements are not good. Really good campus.
Placements: The top roles offered in my course are primary teacher roles. If you qualify for NET, you can get a job as an Assistant Professor. Getting an Assistant Professor job is tough, but the fact is that a four-year graduation does not offer you a job until you have a Master's degree.
Infrastructure: The quality of food is average in the mess and the canteen. The medical facility is very good. The sick room is quite clean and accessible. Indoor games have a good variety, and the outdoor playgrounds are pretty big. The campus is full of nature, and the crowd is healthy.
Faculty: The semester exams are tough at my college. The pass percentage is 85%, I would say. The questions in the exams are sometimes too tough and sometimes moderate. Checking and the marking scheme are quite tough. No one ever makes more than an 8 CGPA because of the marks scheme.
Other: Events, fests, and extracurricular activities come hand in hand. There are a lot of programs going on. Scholarships are also available.
