Ravenshaw University is a good college.

Placements: Our university offers on-campus placements. If you perform well throughout your college years, you will get a good chance to do internships at good companies. Students do internships both on-campus and off-campus. Very well-known companies visit our university to hire students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities at our university are good. The campus is enabled with Wi-Fi. There is an air-conditioned library that is also enabled with Wi-Fi and it has iMac desktops. Almost all classrooms are air-conditioned and well-lit.

Faculty: Our teachers are the best in our department. They are very friendly and close to us. We can always ask them questions and message them about it. They solve it as soon as possible. Exams are conducted strictly. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams and practical exams are conducted well. The pass percentage is 90-95%. Everyone almost passes the exam.

Other: The fest conducted on our campus is a highlight. I would recommend joining this university. We need more experienced teachers on campus for the course. Other than that, all are good.

It is a top-ranked government college in Odisha.

Placements: For Bachelor's students, there are no placements in college. To become a geologist, Master's is a must. Students pursuing master's in applied geology receive a good response from mining sectors. The job roles offered are geologist etc. Students even opt for competitive exams like GATE, CSIR, NET etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the geology department of Ravenshaw University is considered to be one of the best at the national level, with a well-equipped collection in rock museum, petrological microscope lab, seminar room, geology lecture theatre etc. The whole campus is air-conditioned and well-maintained.

Faculty: We have professors from highly recognised colleges with a PhD from BHU, IIT ISM Dhanbad, IIT Bombay etc. They always try their best to give us the best knowledge of the subject. They are young and know the correct and updated way of teaching. The faculty members here are JAM-oriented, and that's why they try to mould the students in that environment. Semester exams are good with questions testing the knowledge of students.

Other: I chose this course since it is the only subject that gives a first-class officer job after Master's compared to any other subjects. We can apply the subject to our daily life and our surroundings, hence making the subject more interesting. It is one of the premier government institutions in Odisha, and every type of event, fest, and extracurricular activity are organised here.

It is a great university with the best teachers, good connectivity, enthusiasm and entertainment.

Placements: I took B.Sc course at Ravenshaw University, but during B.Sc, there were no placements. However, most of the students were admitted into various IITs, CUs and state universities. There are several self-financial courses, which offered campus placements during our time.

Infrastructure: Our university offers 24x7 Wi-Fi facilities and a good library facility which is not available 24x7. Classrooms are air-conditioned. Quality of facilities in hostels is average because food quality is not good. The price of the meal, including lunch and dinner is well affordable. Our university has its own hospital. It has big sports complexes, which encourage students to achieve more success in both outdoor and indoor and to maintain a good health condition.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful, well-qualified and great knowledgeable. I would recommend this course to everyone for a better understanding of earth science. It is a broad subject to explore our earth by understanding the phenomenon and mechanism related to the earth. There are excellent senior professors and some guest faculty members from best PSUs. They are excellent in teaching. In the teaching basis, Ravenshaw University is the best university in India.

Other: Ravenshaw University is well-known not only in Odisha but also in India for art and culture. It preserves the art of state and country finely, and it offers many cultural festivals. There are both state level and national level scholarships during B.Sc. Scholarships like Prerana, NSP, etc., are also offered.

Best college to learn everything about studies and life. Recommend!

Placements: This course in college is not for placement but for building your base for higher education. However you can get in PSU and government job if you can do master course later. You can grab internship in top research Institute during the course.

Infrastructure: One of the best hostel in my life. Wi-Fi is always available there is gymnasium, study room, community room. Also you have a big play-field. The classes are equipped with A.C. and lab are being renovated to the state of the art facilities. During our times the overall labs were a little bit disappointing but geology labs and museums were the best with the latest microscope.

Faculty: Top faculty of the state is present. However the management is a little weak. The teachers are helpful but you need to self help yourself for the studies. It prepares you for higher studies completely. You do mostly rely on seniors as they are the best and are very helpful. Time is the best teacher here.

Other: I chose this course since it was a little different from other Pure sciences. I would like to include more field studies in this course. The fees is very low so don't think about any scholarship. The Odisha crowd is great. There are lot of extracurricular activities round the year.

It is a good college, and my dream of studying here was fulfilled.

Placements: Students never get a job by just pursuing a B.Sc degree, but they get admission in good institutions, mainly in IITs, NITs, IIEST, DU, BHU and other good universities. Mainly geology deals about the earth, and we get good knowledge in this course and will become practically good enough.

Infrastructure: The geology department consists of a huge lecture theatre. Apart from that, it has other classrooms which facilitate teaching to at least 5 sections at a time. It also has a museum and a GIS lab, which is very advanced. There is a microscopic lab which has the highest number of microscopes in Odisha. The hostel is very nice and has good surroundings and good food. But it didn't provide Wi-Fi facility even after complaining about it.

Faculty: I would give 3 stars to faculty members because they lack cultural propaganda. However, they help a lot and are very friendly. Moreover, we are provided with field trips which should be planned for at least 2 days. But they lack the most in that as we are provided with field trips for just a few hours to any random place.

Other: I had chosen geology because it is all about exploring earth, so I just liked it. I wish that we should be provided with recent updates about the earth. Everything is fine here, but the fest is not conducted.
