Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placements, and good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: There are a total of 58 students in our college for this course. The highest was 30,000 per month, the average was 19,000 per month, and the lowest was 10,000 per month. Top diagnostic and hospital chains like Jain, Sagar Hospital, Tenet, etc. usually offer placements in our laboratory itself as laboratory technicians.
Infrastructure: The physical infrastructure, such as the college building, laboratories, library, sports space, equipment, furnishings, parking space, etc., is present on the campus. The food quality in hostels may serve food that is prone to contamination and foodborne illnesses like diarrhea, typhoid, and jaundice. To ensure the safety of hostel food, the kitchen should be regularly inspected, and food should be tested. Mess prefects can report to the warden about the quality of food and cleanliness in the mess. Hostel facilities often offer shared kitchen and dining areas, laundry rooms, and social gathering spaces.
Faculty: The quality of teachers in our college includes: adaptability (being able to adjust to changing circumstances), empathy (being able to understand and share the feelings of others), communication (having good communication and listening skills), engagement (having an engaging classroom presence), patience (being patient), lifelong learning (having a love of learning that continues throughout life), and respect (having a respectful attitude). Yes, this course is very useful for people, i.e., doctors and patients, to test the patient's normal values of the body and their metabolism. This course is year-wise, and the exams are tough to pass. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: Interest in Healthcare: I wanted to contribute to the healthcare sector without being directly involved in clinical practice. Growth Opportunities: Medical laboratory technology is a growing field with increasing demand for skilled professionals. Hands-on Work: I enjoy working with laboratory equipment and analyzing samples to help diagnose diseases. Critical Role: Lab work plays a pivotal role in healthcare decisions, making it a satisfying and impactful career. Best things about the course:Practical Knowledge: Lots of hands-on training with modern laboratory instruments. Diverse Scope: Exposure to multiple disciplines like hematology, microbiology, biochemistry, and pathology. Career Prospects: Opportunities in diagnostic labs, hospitals, research, and even forensic science. Industry Relevance: The skills are applicable in real-world scenarios, directly impacting patient care. Things that could improve:Updated Curriculum: Incorporating recent advancements like molecular diagnostics and automation. More Practical Hours: Enhanced focus on the real-world application of theoretical knowledge. Internship Opportunities: Better partnerships with top hospitals and diagnostic labs for exposure. Research Opportunities: Encouraging students to participate in projects or publish papers. Campus Life:Events and Fests: Depending on the college, annual cultural and technical fests are highlights, fostering creativity and teamwork. Campus Crowd: A mix of students from different disciplines makes it lively, but sometimes the focus leans more towards clinical students. Connectivity: Accessibility to the campus via public or private transport can be a deciding factor for comfort. Campus Surroundings: Green and serene surroundings are a bonus, providing a calm study environment. Scholarships: If the college provides merit-based or need-based scholarships, it’s a big help for many students. Extracurricular Activities: Activities like sports, debate, or community service allow students to unwind and develop soft skills.

Overall, satisfied with the college faculty and management.
Placements: At this college, around 30–35% of the students get placements in our batch. The average package offered in my batch was 4 LPA. Some local and national food science and technology students visit colleges for placements. Most of the students get internships but there was no stipend given to them. Overall, a decent college regarding placements.
Infrastructure: The college has a decent infrastructure for the food science course. The facilities were of good quality. Students had access to all the facilities available at the college. The college has Wi-Fi, labs, a library, a canteen, etc. facilities for the students. College canteen food was affordable and good to eat. Multiple sports facilities were available for the students.
Faculty: The faculty of the college was highly qualified and experienced in our course. Teachers have good knowledge in food science, and they properly guide students. The course curriculum of the college is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Exams at our college were on a semester basis and easy to pass.

Our college is not the best, but I am satisfied because of friendly faculty and relevant course.
Placements: Most of the students from our batch want to pursue a master's degree. No one got placed. The average salary package offered in our course for freshers is around 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA. Most of the recruiters for this course are Brittania, Anti Sweet, Akshaya Patra, etc. In our batch, there were 20 students, and all got internships in companies like KMF, Brittania, Milma, Eastern Foods, etc. Top roles offered are quality analyst, quality control officer, production supervisor, etc.
Infrastructure: Our department has a wide range of books and updated versions of equipment, which are exclusively used by food science and food processing students. All the classrooms have projectors and marker boards. Hostel rooms are spacious and cleaned regularly, but students must maintain cleanliness. The food served is healthy and delicious.
Faculty: All lecturers are student-friendly. They teach well. They are knowledgeable. Students are well prepared for exams. It is not hard to pass the exam or get good marks. The pass marks are 25 out of 70. Students are often taken on industrial visits to understand the core subjects better.
Other: Principal always supports students to study by gaining scholarships. Our college notifies, suggests, and guides students for scholarships. The best part of the college is it is located amidst the green, away from traffic. It has peaceful study environment. Our college does not charge students for traveling by college bus. Along with academics, students are encouraged to participate in sports and cultural activities. Our college conducts regular activities on special days like World Food Day, World Health Day, Onam, Dusherra, Holi, Teachers' Day, etc.

The hostel food is good. We have a mess, football ground, and separate ground for cricket. Faculty: We have good and qualified teachers. The management is efficient. The students can easily understand the way of teaching. The classes consist of boys and girls. Every week, they conduct test papers. Semester wise examinations are valued under the Bangalore University. The syllabus can be easily understood by the average students.

Overall, good teaching and learning environment, and helpful and supportive teachers are present.
Placements: The college has a placement cell. As our course is new and we are the first batch, no placement is provided yet. We are yet to complete our first year, so I don't have much idea about placements, but I heard that many companies come to our college to recruit students. There is a wide scope of research.
Infrastructure: Labs are equipped with the equipment supporting the latest technology. The canteen provides a variety of food which is healthy and affordable. Hostel rooms are good, 2 people are given a room. Generator facility is also available. A good library is available with internet facilities. A healthcare centre is available for treatment with ambulance services as well. A big football ground, basketball, and a volleyball ground are available.
Faculty: The teachers are friendly. They are knowledgeable in their subject. They are very supportive and helpful. They use PPTs to make the students understand the concepts. An industrial visit is arranged in each semester of our course, which gives a clear idea to the student on how to work in an industry.
