Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in various disciplines like Medicine, Dental Surgery, Engineering, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Law, and Management. Some courses require candidates to appear for entrance exams like TANCET or Common Entrance Test conducted by Anna University. SIMATS does not offer a direct admission to B.Tech. An entrance exam is required.
The admission process for B.Tech is as follows:

• The JEE Mains and TNCE exams are used to provide admission at SIMATS
• Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their enterance exam scores are required to attend counselling sessions where they can select the B.Tech specialisation they want.
• The final merit list is prepared using factors other than JEE, such as 12th standard marks.

Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) offers a variety of scholarships depending on extracurricular and academic accomplishments rather than a universal 100% scholarship. Students who have qualified for JEE-Main or have achieved 80% or higher in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible for a 50% fee scholarship offered by the institution. Based on their degree of accomplishment, SIMATS offers scholarships ranging from 10% to 50% of tuition fees in recognition of students' excellence in sports. Athletes competing at the national level are eligible for a 50% scholarship, those competing at the state, district, and zonal levels for 25%, and 10% of the scholarships, respectively. 

Admission to most of the courses are done on the basis of national level common entrance examinations, while the college also conducts entrance for a few courses. For B.E./B.Tech courses, eligible candidates need to appear in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) or Common Entrance Test conducted by Anna University. The selection is done through the Single Window Counseling process administered by Anna University via Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), with a required cut-off score of 200 (100 for Mathematics and 100 for Physics + Chemistry).
