Overall, it provides development and growth.

Placements: The placement cell of the university is very strong. The placement cell not only works at the central level but the department has it's own placement cell where they provide one-on-one sessions and place students according to their interests and expertise. I myself got the opportunity to work with Hindustan Times for 1 month. Our placement coordinator also gave me the chance to get placed.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is one of the best things about my course. We have new-age equipment like the latest photography and videography cameras. We have a TV studio, a totally functional PCR, a shooting hall, a media center, a podcast room, and smart classrooms.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are really good. They are experts in the industry, and they provide us with all the industry exposure. The course curriculum is slow but detailed, which helps to get a deeper understanding. The exam system is strict. Our course curriculum has topics like digital media, traditional media, MOJO, news writing, TV anchoring, TV reporting, research, etc.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a journalist. I chose this university because it is one of the top universities to offer this course with the most practical exposure. There is nothing in particular to change, but I might want more competition. The university has fests every month, and the best festival organised here is the Holi fest.

SG T University - Overall a nice place.

Placements: The placement of the senior batch was nice out of 40 students 20 were given placements rest of the students didn't get selected or were not interested. The average salary offered to them was Rs. 6000. The campus has visited news channels such as India tv, Aaj Tak etc. The students were given the role of cameraman and reporter.

Infrastructure: Our mass communication department provides different facilities such as studio, auditorium, sports arena and a ground for different functions or events. Every classroom has AC but I think they are for showoff as they don't use them much but classes are still good and have projector also. Food quality in the canteen is best because here we have 4 canteens. Hostel rooms are clean and big enough for 2 students. There are a lot of issues for the entrance and exit of the university as the roads are damaged and the main gate remains closed all the time.

Faculty: The faculty of my department is helping and provides a lot of help to the new students. They are frank with the students. They normally teach according to the syllabus. The course curriculum was average helpful. Every faculty member is qualified from a big institution or has worked on a great post in the past.

Other: They should improve their entrance and exit gate of the university and the roads too. The quality of teaching should also be improved as there are many events or compulsory courses which university provide but all these effects the syllabus and revision of the students.

SGT University- It is good for having fun on the campus

Placements: In SGT University, placements are good. They have contact with many news channels and radio channels. In seniors, 70% of students were given internships for 45 days. Some are now permanent staff members of the channels and some left the internship and continued to study. They give placements in some local news channels such as Janta TV, OK India News, Sadhna TV and some radio channels such as All India Radio and Radio Mirchi. The salary offered to them was a minimum of Rs.8000 after the internship period and the maximum was Rs.10000. The roles given to them was content writer, editor, cameraman and photographer. Overall, their placements were good.

Infrastructure: SGT University is spread over 60 acres. It has greenery with many facilities which includes lecture halls, labs, library, seminar halls, hospital, conference halls, auditorium and infrastructure for some sports and extracurricular activities. All classrooms are spacious and well-illuminated with multimedia teaching. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled and the university is fully air-conditioned. It also includes hostel, transport facilities and playgrounds.

Faculty: My experience with the faculty members is good but our faculty members are not permanent. So many faculty members have been changed but those who are permanent are very helpful. When I was new, they helped me a lot in giving me a direction towards my career. They are well-qualified and their teaching skills are also good. Overall, it is fun studying in this university.

Other: If you want to enjoy your college life, then you can definitely join this university. It has so many things for youths. You can have fun in the different canteens as well. It is nice to be a part of this university. But the area is very far in a village. The locals will not face any problems but the students who come from cities near Gurugram can face problems of traffic. The people who live in Gurugram also face problems of traffic that is only because the college is in a village area. The environment of the University is good but if you go outside, you will only find fields, not malls or theatres.

Other: Nice college. I think best infrastructures and good class rooms. Fully equipped labs. Well experienced faculties. Everything is super and nice for everything. Subject taught are very nice. I think it is a good college compared to other college and food is also good.

Hi, DU colleges are good. JMI is also good and SGT is okay. Private universities are best as they provide valued exposure to the industry and give internship and job placements in leading media houses. Eg : Symbiosis, Pune; Amity, Noida etc.
