The collection includes books and monographs, Journals, newspapers, back volumes of Indian & foreign journals Back runs of newspapers and women’s magazines, State-of –the art reviews, databases, Dissertations and theses, Standards and specifications, Reprints of articles & newspaper clippings,Pamphlets, leaflets and brochures, Annual reports of Governments agencies & research institutes, Unique collection of Hindustani Music, Select collection of teaching aids audio-visual material, microforms, Electronic resources including e-books, e-journals. The collection of the Central Library is particularly strong in the social sciences, Gandhiana, women’s studies, arts, literature, nursing, education and library & information science. It provides Special workstations for using audio-visual materials, CD-ROMs and internet, Extensive lending facilities and Inter-library loan facilities. Library has membership of various e-resources such as Cambridge University Press, Emerald (LIS Collection), JCCC, JSTOR and many more. Electronic Services: SULOC, the online catalogue, is a key to the resource of the entire library system. CD-ROMs of reference materials, learning resources, bibliographic sources and full text journals make searching information a quick and easy task. Internet searching facility with professional help opens a gateway to global resources. A growing number of downloaded internet resources, in-house papers etc. organized into an Electronic Library. A database of web sites helps locate useful and relevant resources on the internet. An in-house online index to language and literature‘Sahitya Suchi’ Access to databases like ‘Proquest’ , ‘EBSCO’, Indiastats. Access to databases offered by inflibnet like JSTOR, Emerald(Library Science), JCC (JSTOR Custom Content for consortium), Cambridge journals etc. Access to IEL online, IEEE and other databases as provided by INDEST consortia.

University Hostel Located in the lush green campuses of the University, SNDT Women’s University Hostel is a home away from home for girls who come to pursue their dreams in the congested and fast life of Mumbai. It’s a huge building with 4 floors and comprising over 150 rooms which accommodate more than 500 students. Mess facility is provided within the building itself.
