Review of Shri Guru Ram Rai University.

Placements: Around 60% of students got placed from our course. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is around 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies here are Wipro, TCS, IBM and Infosys. Other than internships, projects are given to us. Top roles offered here are accountant, finance and marketing related.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good here. Facilities like a library, Wi-Fi and all types of lab facilities are provided. Hostels are in very good condition. I am not a hosteller, but I talk to my friends regarding this who are hostellers. SGRRU is always famous for its medical facilities, and all types of sports and games are played.

Faculty: The teachers here are highly qualified and knowledgeable as one of our teachers has passed out from Harvard University. This course is relevant to the curriculum, and it also makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not much easy. You need to study during the whole semester to maintain a good CGPA.

Other: The best thing about my course is it relates me to the outside world like we got to know about MNCs, how they work, business laws, company laws and all.

Faculty members, infrastructure and campus life, are very good.

Placements: Around our last semester in the university, only 2 or 3 companies visited our campus with low salary packages like 1.5 LPA, which was very disheartening. It is the bad aspect of our university. For placements, students tried pool campus and nationwide placements drive as TCS conducts. Around 70-75% of the students got placements, and others applied for higher studies.

Infrastructure: I am a hosteller, and hostel rooms are in good condition. Food is also good. About two students are allowed in each room, which is good if you have friends. Else, it is hard to survive alone. Many PGs are available near the college, and they are quite affordable. The average rent is Rs. 6,000 per month for students with food facilities.

Faculty: Faculty members of our department are highly motivated and energetic. They reinforce every point with perfect illustrations, and they come to the class with enthusiasm. They are knowledgeable in their respective content areas, and one of the teachers has studied from abroad.

I suggest not to take admission into this college.

Placements: No one got placed from our batch. No company visits our campus for placements. In terms of placements, our college is not good. The placement cell doesn't work at all and not even for topper students. They don't provide internships. The college doesn't give placements to postgraduate students also.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure was below average. The library doesn't have all the books. I did not stay in the hostel, but my friends told me that hostel rooms are not good. Facilities which they provide in the hostel were also not good. Food was also not good.

Faculty: Faculty members were not good. Only one teacher was good, always help students and tell about extra activities, which we can do along with our course. The course curriculum was average, but the teachers who teach us are also not good. Semester exams were average, and I scored 70%.

Our university is very different from whatever it mentioned on its brochure for admissions.

Placements: If you think you will get a placement in any premium company or any organisation from here, it is not true here. I belong to the first batch of that university, and none of us has been placed. It is a waste of money, time and energy to study here. You can get a degree from this college, but you can't get any experience.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good, but it will not give you the feeling that you are studying in a university. It still needs to make some improvement for disabled students as it is very difficult for them to access the resources of the library. The library of the SGRR university doesn't provide any facility to their students, which can save their time.

Faculty: The course also needs some improvement. Being a student of commerce, I found various things which can be improved in the course structure. If you pursue B.Com, then it becomes essential to get exposure to the corporate world. There are no internships. There are no visits to any management and organisation which will improve the students' practical skills.

Other: Every university's student has a dream to get a chance to participate in the fest, events and other activities which will be conducted in the university. But if you join this university, then you won't get any fest and event here.

Not much satisfied with the college life and placements.

Placements: No one got placed in our batch because of Covid-19, but there were average placements the previous year, 30%. Companies were small. As the fame of our college is low, companies with higher packages don't come to our college. Accountant was the top role offered in our course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are average. The labs were good, and the equipment was reasonable for the number of students. The library is the best, with an e-library, and it has the best functionality. Wi-Fi has good speed, and it gives 1 GB to every student on a daily basis.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, very helpful and friendly with students. They don't make us industry-ready as only bookish knowledge is provided. The course curriculum is not much relevant, but it could be better.

Other: I chose this course as it has a high demand currently in the market. Practical approach and communication between faculty and students must be improved.
