SPA Delhi PhD eligibility criteria state the conditions to be fulfilled by candidates seeking admission. Students who fulfill any one of the following conditions are eligible to apply for PhD courses:

• Obtained a master's degree in relevant field or its equivalent conducted by any other recognised university/institutions with a minimum of 60% marks, or
• Completed a bachelor's degree in Architecture/Planning/Civil Engineering or its equivalent conducted by any recognised university/institution with a minimum of aggregate 80% or 8.0 GPA and minimum three years' experience (relevant to the proposed topic) in teaching/research/professional practice, or
• Completed a bachelor's Degree in Architecture/Planning/Civil Engineering or its equivalent conducted by any recognised university/Institution with a minimum of aggregate 60% or equivalent grade and minimum ten years of experience (relevant to the proposed topic) in teaching/research/professional practice, or
• Master's Degree in allied disciplines, as decided by the respective Departmental Research Committee (DRC) on case-by-case basis, relevant to different streams offered in this School by various departments, with a minimum of 60% and minimum ten years of experience (relevant to the proposed PhD topic) in teaching/research/professional practice
