To be considered for SPA Delhi PhD admissions, students must fill out the application form. The applications for the PhD programme are made available by the institute throughout the year. Candidates aspiring to take admission can apply by visiting the official website of the institute and paying an application fee of INR 2,500. Moreover, students must also attach a proposed department of study, a broad area of research, and the name of the advisor of his/her choice (if any) along with the dully filled form.

Candidates who have passed a master's degree in any of the courses conducted by the School/ Integrated master's degree course or its equivalent with at least 60% aggregate or equivalent GPA are eligible to apply for the PhD programme. Aspirants who have passed B.Arch, BPlan or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent with at least 80% or 8.0 GPA or equivalent grade with at least three years experience can also apply.

The total fee to pursue the SPA Delhi PhD programme is a composition of multiple elements. Some of the key fee components are the tuition fee, admission fee, caution fee, etc. Apart from these, students living in the institute's hostels must also pay the hostel fees. Yes, SPA Delhi offers scholarships for students who are pursuing a full-time PhD programme at the institute. These scholarships are offered to provide financial assistance to meritorious and deserving students. Moreover, as per the official brochure, various fellowships and contingency grants are also offered to eligible candidates. Students residing on the campus of SPA Delhi need to pay the hostel and mess fees. As per a PDF available on the School's official website, SPA Delhi hostel fee and other charges are as follows:

• Hostel Room Rent: INR 20,000 (UG & PG)
• Electricity & Water Charges: INR 10,000
• Mess Deposit: INR 5,000
• Mess Establishment Charges: 16,940
• Mess Food Charges Advance: INR 20,000

Admission to most of the programmes of SPA Delhi is entrance-based. The institute considers scores in GATE/ CEED for M.Arch and MPlan, JEE Main (Paper-II)/ DASA UG for BArch, CEED for MDes and JEE Main (Paper-II) for BPlan programmes. Hence, entrance exam scores are required for admission in UG or PG courses at the institute. Selected candidates are requirement to participate in the counselling rounds and pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.
