SVVU offers a four-year BTech in Dairy Technology. The SVVU Tirupati BTech tuition fee is INR 40,000 for the entire duration. The latest cutoff of 2023 for Sri Venkateshwara Veterinary University for B.Tech. is based on the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET scores of the students. The last round closing rank of 2023 B.Tech. was around 16922 for B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 17500 for B.Tech Civil Engineering, 28628 for B.Tech. Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University offers various Undergraduate (UG) programs with a basic criteria of 50 percent in 10+2 . It provides courses such as B.Sc, B.V.Sc and B.Tech and various Postgraduate (PG) programs also such as M.Tech, MS, M.Sc and M.V.Sc. It offers various Ph.D programs in different branches of Veterinary, Dairy and Fishery Sciences and selection in all the bachelors’ courses are done on the basis of an entrance examination of Andhra Pradesh called EAMCET.
The admission to Masters programme will depend on the marks in Bachelors in Dairy which will be 30% of the total weightage and on performance in PG Entrance test which will be 70% of the total weightage.
SVVU Tirupati BTech aspirants must start the admission procedure by checking their eligiblity and submitting an online application. BTech admission under the state quota is based on the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET merit, followed by subsequent counselling. Admission against the All-India quota seats is governed by the ICAR norms. Hence, aspirants must apply according to their quota. A list of selected candidates, based on the entrance exam scores, is released on the university's official website. Such candidates must report to the campus for documents verification and other admission formailites. The final step is to submit the applicable fee to confirm admission.
The placements of Sri Venkateshwara Veterinary University for their students in a recent placement drive was - 25 students from B.Tech in Dairy Technology were placed with an average package of INR 2.40 LPA. Apart from this, the placement cell is also active for students to ensure good placement for Diploma students as well. According to the students of the University, the highest salary package was INR 9 LPA in their placement while the lowest salary package was INR 4 LPA.
There are two ways to secure admission at SVVU Tirupati for BVSc course. Those who fulfil the preset eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age can get admission at the university in one of the following two ways:
- 85% of the total seats are filled under state quota through the combined counselling conducted by ANGRAU based on the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET merit. Within the state quota, there is a Farmers' quota wherein 25% of area-wise seats are reserved for candidates from farmers' families with 3 acres of agricultural land. Such candidates must have studied in a rural area for a minimum period of four years
- 15% of the total seats are filled by the Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi through a common entrance examination
SVVU Tirupati BVSc admission dates vary yearly. They depend on the exam schedule of the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, the accepted entrance exam for BVSc admission. Aspirants can apply for the exam around March every year. The exam is usually held in May. Candidates who have passed Class 12 with the required aggregate or are currently appearing for Class 12 exam can visit the official exam website to apply.
