The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is expected to release the CLAT Notification 2026 anytime soon. The CLAT 2026 Application Process is likely to begin in the next few days. Yes, CLAT is compulsory for admission in Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU), Tiruchirappalli. It is the entrance examination conducted by consortium of NLUs for UG and PG courses. All 21 NLU except NLU Delhi take admission by way of CLAT scores in both PG and UG courses.

All those candidates who appeared for the CLAT 2025 are advised to check out the previous year's CLAT cutoff scores and get a fair idea of the trends that are being followed by the NLUs in the country.  A score above 100 is definitely considered as a good score for CLAT 2025. Candidates must note that the expected CLAT cutoff score for NLUSIU Bangalore is 100 plus, whereas, for NLU Kolkata, NLU Jodhpur and NLU Bhopal, the expected score is between 94 to 98. The TNNLU BA LLB (H) application fee is the CLAT 2025 application fee. The fees are different as per the categories candidates belong to. For General/OBC/PWD/PIO/OCI/NRI, the application fee is INR 4,000 and for SC/ST/BPL category, the application fee is INR 3,500. Extra charges of INR 500 are applicable if candidates want to obtain previous years' CLAT question papers from the exam authority. Apart from CLAT application fee and cost of question paper bundle, candidates need not pay any other charges.

For admission to BA LLB (Hons), TNNLU accepts CLAT score. So, apart from the course fee, candidates need to submit the CLAT registration fee aswell. The BA LLB (Hons) fees are as follows:

The postgraduate level course is also offered full-time and has two academic semesters. Further, the law programme is offered across three specialisations includingCorporate and Securities Laws,  Intellectual Property Laws, and Natural Resources Law. LLM at TNNLU is offered under the UGC Guidelines 2012 following the semester pattern.
