Candidates seeking admission to BA Economics at Gandhigram University are required to meet the minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 in the regular stream can get admission to the BA programme. Preference will be given to students who have studied Economics in Class 12.

The Gandhigram Rural Institute provides an opportunity for the BA programme students to apply for various scholarships. The eligible SC, ST, OBC and, PwD category students can avail the Central Sector Scholarship (postmatric) through the respective State Government. Gandhigram Rural Institute BA scholarships also include remittance of tuition fees. The eligible SC/ ST/ SCC and, PwD category students are exempted from remittance of tuition fees by submitting the prescribed application form at the time of admission.

Gandhigram University BA admission is entrance-based for the academic year 2024 as candidates seeking admission to the BA at Gandhigram University are required to appear for the CUET. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for admission to the BA programme.

Gandhigram Rural Institute Counselling process 2023 is ongoing. The university is currectly conducting Round 2 Seat Allotment for PG courses, including MSc Micro Biology, MSc Applied Geology and Geomatics, MSc Botany, MSc Zoology, MSc Chemistry and MSc Food Science and Nutrition. The placement percentage in The Gandhigram Rural Institute is very moderate, and only 50% to 60% of the students got placement every year. The last batch had 70 students and out of which 40 got placed in the chemical companies. They provide a minimum salary of Rs.15,000 for everyone who got placed. According to the placement reports of 2021, a total of 68 undergraduate students with a 3-year program were offered a median salary of Rs 1.56 LPA, and 13 undergraduate students with a 4-year program were placed, and the median salary offered was Rs 4.8 LPA.

To get admission in Master of Science (MSc) programme, candidates must have passed graduation and appear for CUET- PG exam. Selection will be done the basis of CUET score. Admission will be given after the verification of the original certificates. Candidates admitted to PG programmes must submit the consolidated statement of score/ performance record of the qualifying exam. 

Gandhigram University MBA admission is entrance-based for the academic year 2024 as candidates seeking admission to the MBA at Gandhigram University are required to appear for the CUET PG. Therefore, UG degree marks are not enough for admission to the MBA programme.
