It is a Central University that was established in October 1987. It is located at Agartala with 78 acres of campus. It is approved by UGC and has got accreditation from NAAC. Aspirants must take the CUET exam in order to get admitted to Tripura University's undergraduate programs. When registering for CUET online, give preference to Tripura University.
