Amongst all the courses, PG has shown most placements for the year 2022. The University has still not released the 2023 placement report. But, the NIRF report 2023 is out. According to the report, a total of 141 PG students were placed during Tripura University placements 2022. The median package offered to PG (1-year) and PG (2-year) students was INR 3 LPA and INR 2.60 LPA, respectively. For PG (3-year) courses, the median package was INR 10 LPA. So, basically we can say that choice of course depends upon the person's interest but looking into placements, PG sector is better option to pursue at Tripura University.

Tripura University's B.Tech programme accepts students based on their scores in the Tripura University Entrance Test (TUET), JEE (Main), TBJEE, or other state or national level engineering entrance tests. The application form is available online at the university website. Applicants must have completed 12 years of formal schooling and have aggregate marks of 45% or higher in Class XII (or its equivalent) with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English as subjects. For ST/SC/OBC candidates, the minimum aggregate marks is 40%. Students who are awaiting final examination results can also apply.

About 30% of students were placed in the college. Various private companies like Maruti Suzuki, TATA and Networking companies recruited mechanical engineers. Students got internships from various types of company.

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at Tripura University, applicants must have a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate for SC/ST candidates). Applicants must also have passed their Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. 

Tripura University conducts Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admissions. 

Any national entrance test (MAT, CMAT, CET etc.) or TUET (Tripura University Entrance Test) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Tripura University offers BEd courses at the PG level. In order to get admission to BEd course the candidate should meet the last educational qualification. Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree &/or in the Master’s Degree in Science/Social Sciences/ Humanities, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science & Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme

Aspirants must take the CUET exam in order to get admitted to Tripura University's undergraduate programs. When registering for CUET online, give preference to Tripura University. Attend the test and try to get a good grade. Check the minimum scores required for programme at Tripura University after the CUET results are out. After this, students need to attend the counseling session if shortlisted.

Candidates having a valid score in MAT/ XAT / CAT/ CMAT will get direct admission in MBA at Tripura University. Universities may also release a merit list based on marks obtained in graduation.

It is a Central University that was established in October 1987. It is located at Agartala with 78 acres of campus. It is approved by UGC and has got accreditation from NAAC. It has achieved 88th rank in NIRF rankings and 4th rank in Eastern India in 2016. The University has 46 departments offering 58 programs to students from India and Bangladesh.

The minimum cutoff for MBA at Tripura University is 650 marks from CUET but be specific for which branch you need to know and by which entrance method.
