Beautiful college with good education.
Placements: Average placement ranging from 3 LPA to 5 LPA. Companies that hire the students were basically pesticide, chemical, fertilizers, and field management companies with banking sector companies mostly preparing for masters graduates.
Infrastructure: College had one of the beautiful infrastructures. Each department had plenty of laboratories and all the instruments for conducting the practical. Hostel was attached to the college present within the campus. They provided good food for the students who were studying there.
Faculty: Nice faculty members with broad knowledge of the subject were there. The curriculum was specific to agriculture and well divided into different courses to understand and learn easily so that it will be good for writing exams. Exams were strictly conducted in the examination hall with proper invigilation. There was no room for malpractice in the exam hall.

Not bad, but don't wait for internship and placement.
Placements: We can join through KCET and ICAR exams. It should be below 5,000 rank in KCET. The package offered is 5 LPA. There are no internships for us. They provide courses Like NCC and NSS, and we also have an opportunity to join NSS camps, NCC camps, and youth festivals.
Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms, and library are too good here. We have a computer system in library. In the hostel, there are 2 sharing rooms with cupboard, table, chair, and cot. The quality of food is also pretty good compared to others. Coming to sports, they conduct university-wise competitions and college-wise sports competitions for both men and women.
Faculty: Teachers here are more educated and good their teaching is also fabulous. We study nearly more than 60 courses which help us to join any industry. Semester exams are difficult because semester papers are prepared by our own course teachers and the pass percentage is 50%.
Other: College has a youth festival, NSS youth festival, and NCC camps.

Well-rounded agricultural education with good faculty, practical exposure, and decent placements.
Placements: Around 70-75% of students from my B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture batch at the College of Agriculture, Hassan are placed through campus and off-campus recruitment. The highest package offered is about ₹5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The College of Agriculture, Hassan, offers well-equipped smart classrooms, Wi-Fi access, and dedicated laboratories for Soil Science, Genetics, and Entomology, among others, along with a well-stocked library that provides access to journals and e-resources. The hostel facilities are decent, with basic amenities and a regular supply of water and electricity. The mess food is average but hygienic, and a small canteen provides snacks and refreshments. Medical facilities are available on campus, including a health center for emergencies. The college also supports sports and games with a playground and indoor game facilities and encourages participation in university-level competitions.
Faculty: Faculty at the College of Agriculture, Hassan, are highly qualified, experienced, and supportive, often guiding students beyond the classroom in practical and research-based learning. The teaching quality is generally good, with a mix of theory and hands-on training. The course curriculum is well-structured and regularly updated by the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, making it relevant and industry-oriented. It includes practical, fieldwork, RAWE, and experiential learning programs to prepare students for real-world agricultural challenges. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, focusing on both conceptual understanding and application. The overall pass percentage is around 85-90%.
Other: I chose this course because of its future scope and to gain knowledge.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture - Batch of 2025

Impressive Experience: Poor Placements, Average Facilities, and No ROI.
Placements: I think there is no concept of placement in this university, even if there is, it is of no use, small companies with the smallest packages. I must tell students who want to join not to join for the sake of placement after completion of your B.Sc. Agri in this college.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is outdated. Labs are not well-equipped, Wi-Fi is slow and unreliable, and classrooms lack modern amenities. The library is understocked with limited resources for in-depth study. Hostel facilities are below average; rooms are cramped, cleanliness is a major concern, and the food quality in the mess is substandard. Medical facilities are poorly managed, and sports facilities are minimal at best. Overall, the infrastructure does not justify the fee charged.
Faculty: Most faculty members are qualified but lack practical teaching methods. The curriculum feels outdated and irrelevant to current industry needs, failing to prepare students for real-world challenges. Exams are moderately difficult, but the pass percentage is high due to lenient marking, which doesn’t necessarily reflect the students’ abilities. The teaching quality needs a significant overhaul to keep pace with modern agricultural practices.
Other: Campus life is dull, with limited extracurricular activities and poorly organized events. There are no regular festivals or cultural fests to engage students. The crowd mostly consists of local students, and diversity is almost non-existent. Connectivity to the campus is also poor, making it challenging to commute.

Absolutely good for the agricultural learning of students .
Placements: A total of 300 students are placed in our batch. The companies offered are Big basket Agritech Pvt. Ltd., etc. A smaller number of internships are offered. The agriculture officer (AO) is the top-ranking role offered. And fewer people from the company will come to college and no placement records will be displayed .
Infrastructure: The library is provided with good Wi-Fi service, UG classes are enclosed with AC & smart classrooms and the hostel is connected to a good mess for eating, which provides south Indian food daily. The hostel is off the old structures and has good rooms .
Faculty: The teaching staff is helpful & knowledgeable and they provide good practical sessions for students. Even if they proceed to give good and tough exams, attendance of 80 percent is the minimum to attend any exams in the college and strict instructions should be followed.
Other: Agriculture is the basic syllabus covering for all the top exams in our country and this course offers various and vast knowledge about the future. In our course, we need to have more of practical and interactive classes with farmers. A smaller number of college events will occur .

Overall, the infrastructure is good.
Placements: The placement cell is not up to the mark. It does not perform its job. Companies offers are very few and the packages given by those companies are also very low. The number of companies that visit the college is also very few. Basically, the placement cell does not perform its job up to the mark.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college and the girl's hostel is very good. The library has a good set of books. It includes a small canteen, bank, post office and stationary within the campus itself. Overall, the infrastructure is good. There is a mixture of facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified. They are a bit less knowledgeable. The course curriculum is a bit hurdle for those who do not prefer fieldwork because there will be a lot of fieldwork in this course.
