No, its not hard to get admission at Calicut University. The university offers UG, PG, diploma, and doctoral courses, under 35 different departments divided into nine schools, for different streams, such as Engineering, Science, Law, Commerce, and Management, among others. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are CMAT, CAT, KMAT, KMAT KERALA, and others. The university's admission process begins with an online application.

The University of Calicut is the largest University in Kerala. It was established in 1968 in Calicut. It is accredited with an "A" Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It is recognised by the UGC and is approved by the AICTE. Calicut University has been ranked 69 under the University category by the NIRF in 2022. The university offers UG, PG Diploma, and doctoral courses, under 35 different departments divided into nine schools, for different streams, such as Engineering, Science, Law, Commerce, and Management, among others. The competition is very high hence prepare for the entrance exams in advance. The Calicut University conductes the Calicut University Common Admissions Test (CUCAT) once a year for admissions to various UG and PG courses for all categories of students belonging to the All India and Home State quota. According to the Calicut University CUCAT Cutoff 2024 for the General HS category, the BSc in Computer Science cutoff ranged between 460 to 989, wherein Sadanam Kumaran College was the hardest to get admission in for this course and Government Victoria College, the easiest.

The Calicut University Kerala NEET PG Cutoff has been released for admission to various MD and MS course specialisations. For the General category candidates under the Home State quota, the Calicut University Kerala NEET PG Cutoff 2023 ranged from 455 to 27696 in the last round closing ranks. The toughest specialisation was MD in General Medicine, with a cutoff of 455, and the easiest course for admission was MS in Orthopaedics. 

Calicut University NEET SS Cutoff 2025 will be released soon. According to the cutoff 2024,  DM in Neurology programme cutoff was 204 for candidates belonging to the General category under the All India quota. In 2023, the cutoff for the same course was 741 for the aforementioned category, indicating that the competition over the 2 years.  Calicut University admission to Super Specialty courses including specialisations of DM is based on NEET SS scores followed by counselling. The MCC is to conduct the counselling up to two rounds.
