According to the University of Madras NIRF report, 483 PG 2 year students were placed in 2024 with a median package of INR 4.2 LPA. In PG 3 year program, 7 students got placements with a median salary of INR 4.80 LPA.

Mother M. Celine Scholarship is awarded to the students of Madras University once a year. An amount of INR 1,000 is disbursed annually to the first-year students in the affiliated Colleges of Madras University based on the Class 12 marks or equivalent thereto passed in Tamil Nadu by securing the highest marks on the first attempt. Students should apply online using the University's official website. For admission to UG and PG courses, Madras University accepts a number of national-level entrance exams. After successfully registration, students should take the course-specific entrance test to be considered for admission. The University will publish a merit list of selected students basis their test scores. Students whose names appear on the merit list should pay the admission fee to secure their places.
